First time I heard this song, it was one Saturday night in 1991. I had just turned 17. My family was on our way to meet my cousin who was coming back from the Gulf War. This played on the radio somewhere between Raleigh and the airfield the soldiers were landing at. Dad told me he remembered when it first came out.

It really stuck with me, for some reason. I've been waiting YEARS for this night, to post it to Free Republic :-)

I don’t understand the relevance at all. The earliest date the song mentions is 500 years from now.

1925 will be a great year. I’ll be 89 and still going strong, Take one prescription drug. My MD expects me to live another 11 years.

I'm praying that 2025 will be a better one for me. I turned 50 this past March, and I take 4 medications a day to manage manic depression. Otherwise I'm in excellent health. Trying to trust God, turn more over to Him, that maybe He will grant me strength and wisdom to get past some things.

I did finish writing my first book a month and a half ago. Hoping that soon I'll have a literary agent and that maybe we can sell my work sometime this coming year.

I'm trying to be cheerfully optimistic.

A woman I knew years ago just died at 102. She attributed her long life to exercising at least an our a day and eating mostly vegetables.

You might eat meat only once a week and build up to long walks . Cut out the salt and saturated fat like butter and cheese. Olive oil is great. Extra Virgin Olive Oil actually clears out your arteries.

Writing is a very difficult profession. Hope you get a reliable agent. Been there, did that.
