I'm guessing that any plans by the Dems for Jan 6th demos....have now...hopefully...been set aside.

I do think that the flags should be at full staff from January 20th...and beyond. Flag manners are not exactly Law...and the 30 day lowering has been interrupted before.

I no longer observe what the governments at Federal, State, and Local levels tell me about flying my flag at half mast.

This has long been a sore spot with me. I can drive around on any given day in my blue state, and see flags at half mast, and often nobody can tell me why.

I hate it. It reeks of victimhood of some kind, as if we have to be in a perpetual state of mourning. They do it for a host of reasons, and I detest it.

I wouldn’t fly it when Ted Kennedy passed. I won’t do it when Pelosi passes. And I sure won’t do it when some pop star passes.

So I fly it at half mast when I think it is appropriate.
