I no longer observe what the governments at Federal, State, and Local levels tell me about flying my flag at half mast.

This has long been a sore spot with me. I can drive around on any given day in my blue state, and see flags at half mast, and often nobody can tell me why.

I hate it. It reeks of victimhood of some kind, as if we have to be in a perpetual state of mourning. They do it for a host of reasons, and I detest it.

I wouldn’t fly it when Ted Kennedy passed. I won’t do it when Pelosi passes. And I sure won’t do it when some pop star passes.

So I fly it at half mast when I think it is appropriate.

I agree 100%.

My thought....Swear Trump in...and Trump should...right then...order the flag to be raised full staff...and to remain at full staff!

And let us have the respect for the flag at its pinnacle.
