WTF is the silly text generator for this article?! Did you even read it before posting? Do you speak English?

Cadillac, for me, has the stereotype of geezer, or union thug, or pimp , written all over it.

They were fast for their day, but the market changed from sports car, to muscle car to high horsepower output, with all of the modern conveniences built in as well. Most of which will destroy what you have in both off the line, top speed and handing capabilities of what you are referring to.

Of course I read it, and yes I speak English, but the author has an Arab sounding name, & I suspect English is a second language, who may know multiple languages for all I know. I think the fact that he refers to the cabin of a car as a lodge is a giveaway.
Do you speak multiple languages?
My main focus was the vehicle, and its performance capabilities, since I had a 2004 Cadillac XLT hardtop convertible that I loved driving.

I've owned lots of Cadillacs, but they were all before I became the old geezer I am now. They were innovators, who produced quality, & safety before their time, but were still cheap enough that their vehicles weren't limited to only the super rich.
Perhaps you hate all things American, & only appreciate the European vehicles?

The blend of a presentation centered transmission and back tire drive. That much power and rear wheel drive is not something I want to drive in the winter.

Well, that makes sense, as it is not made to be operated in those weather conditions. But even moderate powered rear wheel vehicles require caution in those conditions. Front wheel drive vehicles require caution as well.

You do a search on this and you’ll see many different designs that look nothing alike.

Football players & Rockers loved them when they first came out in 004. Howie Long & Alice Cooper both had Cadillac XLRs.

They stole the lines for the XLR Roadster from a 1972 Buick Riviera (one of my favorite classic cars.)

Are they 2025 models. When they first produced XLRs, from 2004 - 2009, they looked somewhat similar, but not the same as the reintroduced 2025 SLR.. I had a 2004 Cadillac XLR, which is why a friend sent me an email about the 2025 models being reintroduced.
Back then all were hardtop convertibles. This is what my car looked like:

Similar, but yet not. My parents had a 1963 or 64 Buick Le Sabre convertible that was Salmon colored with a white convertible top & interior. I really wanted that car when I was 17. It would have been a chick magnet for sure. Ended up with a VW bug. 🤣 Turned out to be a good car for a kid though.
I also liked the 1965 Rivera Gran Sport:

Ha! I wish!
914 I fully restored to Concours, mint all-original 944 S, mint almost all original 928, & all original Concours 944 Turbo I got from original owner.......not one I was looking for - each discovered by a friend who notified me as they cost a fraction of their value......
Restored an “Introductory Model” 924 Turbo but sold it to get 944 S.

I have an ‘04 now. 10,000 of these were built from ‘04 to ‘09. They were built on a C6 Corvette chassis in the Corvette plant in Bowling Green. In my view, their biggest detraction is the 325 hp Cadillac NorthStar OHV engine. It just doesn’t compare with Corvette LS pushrod engines, although a supercharged option was available later. Your interior shot is a bit misleading. With two people in the cabin, there’s no room to store even a baseball cap, unless you wear it. The rear ‘trunk’ area is sealed off from the cabin for safety reasons since it holds all the mechanical parts for folding up the top.

Yeah, I have to agree. The Northstar engine had rave reviews, but also had a lifespan of about 100K miles, because of the head bolts. They did come out with the XLR-V model for model years 2006-2009 which sported a 4.4 liter supercharged engine that generated 443 HP & 414 of torque. Had I decided to keep it, , I was either going to take it to a guy in Texas (when I first contacted him he was in either Oregon or Washington state) who had developed head bolts that would not fail, and have him overbore it and put in a different cam shaft, as he claimed he could get over 500 hp without a supercharger, or I was going to replace it with an LS3 or as my Cadillac mechanic suggested I could even go with an LS7 engine. I was also tempted to go with a 2009 model. I ended up trading it in for a 2013 60th Anniversary 3LT Grand Sport Corvette convertible, because I always wanted to have a corvette. I regretted that I went with that choice, to be honest. Very powerful, but the 2014 Stingray I bought for my wife had it all over the 2013 Grand Sport. I should have gone with the 2009 model XLR.
Oh well, such is life, I guess. 😋

Thanks for your input on the NorthStar head bolts. I was not aware of this problem. I have about 70,000 miles on mine. I presume I can install new (improved) head bolts to prevent any problems before they happen. I’ll research the issue. If you know of any sources, I would appreciate a reply.
