Another possible view...

A really good way to get H1-B reform is to first have Musk, et al, post positively about the H1-B program to get the faithful fired up against it, calling the congressmen, posting articles, replies online and so forth.

Then have Trump & his admin agree that reform is needed and push it through over the voices of big tech & other large employers.

Nobody is more happy about this than the Democrats. They have the Republicans focusing on 65k workers, and the 10s of millions of illegals are off the table. They know what they are doing.

H-1B workers are paying taxes, and they aren’t getting welfare, or other benefits. And there are a tiny amount compared to 60 million+ illegals. This is a huge victory for the Dems.

For the last week the only thing anyone on Twitter – and, by extension, the rest of the Internet – has been talking about is the H1B visa.

How come no one every talks about L1 Visas? They are much worse than H-1Bs, and they are unlimited, unlike the tight cap on H-1Bs.

An H-1B worker can take there H-1B and go to any company they want, as often as they want. There is competition in their wages.

L1 Vida holders are trapped at their company, unless another company will sponsor a new H-1B.

I can't find any information on how many active L1s there are now, and they are unlimited.

These could be impacting salaries dramatically.

The 10s of millions of voters who are on their third or 4th career due to lay off, downsizing, outsourcing etc over the years really don’t have a whole lot of sympathy for this entitled attitude among a few thousand IT types that they should all some how be immune to this.

Voters are much more interested in what Trump and the GOP are going to do to control inflation fix the US economy, end the Biden Wars, fix illegal immigration etc then they are about what Conservative INC and the Twittervese are squealing about today.

When all the Whiner Choir in Conservative Inc do everyday is rush to find new thing to scream about, everyone else simply stop listening to their daily temper tantrums
