Yes. Ladies’ Day doubleheader was a perennial event at Cleveland Indians stadium. Can’t imagine anyone suing to stop it, but that was then.

They should have countersued for discrimination against Hispanics. Surely there are some statistics available where Hispanic women earn less than Hispanic men.

These kind of laws were championed by women.

Not aware of that; from a business point of view, if you draw women into a bar, men will follow. These "events" became popular back in the 60s when "nice" women still hesitated to go to bars, and fewer of them went. When more women started going to bars, there presumably were fewer bar fights and crude language—for the first few weeks.

Grew up going to Tiger/Briggs Stadium (Detroit) - they had many Saturday “Ladies/Retirees/Children under some age” games - 50 cent a ticket. Good deal/times...
