Rest in Peace, Alice..................Thanks for the memories.........
Rest In Peace, Linda.
I would have put her a lot younger than 87.
Rest in peace.
The years are rolling by fast now. Carter was 100. Whole generations I grew up familiar with are going.
I was living in Wilmington NC when she moved there to run an acting school. Met her in the grocery store. I talked to her for about 10 minutes. She seemed to be a very nice person.
She was like that Energizer Bunny; she kept going and going till the bitter end. Lucky for Linda, her appearance and stage presence continued to match her ambition.
She stayed slim and flexible, walking smoothly across the stage. She remembered her lines, and her marks on where to stand, not throwing the other actors off due to frequent mistakes. She looked old but not ancient or unnaturally well preserved.
Alice was a favorite show.
RIP Linda.
Enjoyed watching the reruns on weekday mornings on the CBS affiliate we got up here (Rochester NY). The first two seasons were the best IMHO.
RIP. Alice was one of my favorites growing up either on prime time or on weekday mornings reruns.
On obit loaded with left-wing bile. Just give us the facts.
???
I always thought of her as a sit-com star.
On the show Alice, the main characters grew, became different degrees of successful and moved up.
Exactly. We’re getting old together.
Could never stand her! Didn’t know her, but her character showed through her Characters.
Alice, who the f**k is Alice?!
Flo stole all of Alice’s thunder in that show.
She seems to have lived a good life and created a lot of laughs. Plus I don’t remember her parading around in a P-hat or making proclamations about who was Hitler...
RIP.
Never heard of her. And as such that has to be one of the worst headlines to figure out that I have ever seen.
