Azeri president says apology isn’t enough, in confrontation that shows Moscow’s waning influence over former Soviet territories.
Azerbaijan’s president accused Russia of trying to cover up its role in a plane crash that killed 38 people, delivering a harsh condemnation that signaled a reversal of the power dynamics that long saw Moscow hold sway over its former Soviet republics.
President Ilham Aliyev said Sunday that Azerbaijan had laid out for the Kremlin the necessary conditions to satisfy the country, demanding that Russia take responsibility for causing the crash, provide compensation for the country and victims’ families, and bring those guilty of downing the plane to justice.

It wasn’t Russia that directed a plane through a war zone. Don’t know who shot it or if was hit by shrapnel from a drone that got taken out. That fog of war thing strikes again.

All true, however shrapnel from a drone being hit would be quite a coincidence
I don’t know for sure who’s fault that plane crash was, but I can’t even imagine going through such an experience.
Even those who survived physically intact, will probably never get over that fright of impending doom.
Some will find it easier to move on than others, as is the case following any trauma of great intensity.
Most of the damage from that “shrapnel” looked eerily similar to those fake bullet decals the kids put on their hotrods.
Perfectly round holes everywhere, strange huh?
Took me a bit to find a good pic, hope this link works.
Disagree with your description of damage. Plenty of jagged holes

Not if produced by ball bearings used as shrapnel.
The Special Russia Sock is getting full over the Azerbaijan plane incident...
We'll have to notify marcus's mom about flash flood warnings.
marcus is one-liner trollink while postink one-handed...
Russia has admitted to the shoot-down, and the President of Azerbaijan has conceded that it was accidental. So this is over — except in the minds of those seeking a regime change in Russia.
LOL!
