Russia Not Satisfied with Trump Team’s Proposals on Ukraine: Lavrov
WE News ^ | 12/29/2014 | Staff

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov says that currently only Biden is authorised to engage with Russia on behalf of the United States.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Moscow is not satisfied with the proposals of US president-elect Donald Trump’s team to postpone Ukraine’s membership in NATO for 20 years and to deploy a contingent of EU and UK peacekeepers in Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already rejected the “peace proposals” of Trump’s team, according to TASS news agency. Although there have been no official initiatives from the United States yet.

In an interview with TASS, Lavrov said, “Judging by numerous leaks and Donald Trump’s own interview with Time magazine on December 12, he is talking about ‘freezing’ hostilities along the line of engagement and transferring further responsibility for confronting Russia to the Europeans. We are certainly not satisfied with the proposals made by representatives of the president-elect’s team to postpone Ukraine’s membership in NATO for 20 years and to deploy a peacekeeping contingent of ‘UK and European forces’ in Ukraine.”

Lavrov admitted that Moscow has not received any official signals from the United States on the Ukrainian settlement at the moment.

“Until January 20 – the date of inauguration – Donald Trump has the status of ‘president-elect,’ and all policy on all fronts is determined by the incumbent president and his administration,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov made a fair assessment of the political situation in regards to American foreign policy on the war being somewhat ambiguous due to the election.

President Trump is going to end Putin’s botched invasion. Lavrov needs to tell his boss to get with the program.

What l see is a negotiation playing out. Trump has not even taken office yet and this thing is coming to an end.

I’m sure your boy Zelensky won’t be happy with any of the proposals either, because it will mean the end of his expired dictatorship.

Sorry bud, the Russian ethnic areas of the eastern Ukraine are going to be Russian until the next war. The Ukraine and NATO lost in their gambit to defeat Russia and rape it.

General Kellogg will be in Kyiv the first week of January. Ukraine has agreed to negotiations prior to President Trump’s inauguration. Russia is still playing games.

The problem is that the Kellogg side and the entire effort is that WE are the ones begging for a cease fire. That’s a weak position.
We are offering nothing but a cessation of shooting so we can flood Ukraine with weapons and NATO soldiers, giving Ukraine a defense pact (defacto NATO), and starting a timeline for bringing Ukraine into NATO.
In return we offer nothing. No end of sanctions, no repair of Nordstream, no full release of the stolen money and gold we confiscated, no reopening of normal diplomatic relations, no recognition of Crimea and Donbass as Russian, no repudiation of resurgent nazism in Ukraine.

Basically, the Kellogg plan is something WE need, not them. We get all our goals met, they get nothing.
Of course they have no reason to accept that.

Negotiations are one thing. Either side accepting the outcome is another thing. Either way, Zelensky isn’t going to be a happy camper, will get booted, and the people of Ukraine will finally be able to vote again. You’re extremely naive if you think Ukraine hasn’t been playing games all this time either. That’s what happens in proxy wars.

This seems like Trump’s tariffs. It’s a starting point in which you ask for the moon knowing it’ll be pared down.

If Russia and Ukraine want to play games, the we can wash our hands of it, and the can keep slaughtering each other.

Putin is ending Ukraine and NATO’s little botched invasion into Russia:

45,000+ casualities
350+ Heavy Artillery
1300+ Pick up trucks
1400+ AFV
230+ IFV
260+ tanks
over a thousand other vehicles of civilian manufacture used by AFU.

Ukraine and the NATO contingent accompanying them are going to all die in Kursk and the updated final figures will be 35% higher.

"General Zaluzhnyi will be the next president of Ukraine after Zelensky."

I don't give a crap who runs Ukraine or Russia. What I care about is that the endless flow of unaccounted for taxpayer money and taxpayer funded weaponry flowing to this proxy war ends immediately.

Kelogg is a lump of neocon swamp-$**t and a Uke harpy who makes our Zeepers proud. NATO-phile/MIC/DS trashbag and worst possible pick to head negotiations.

The Russians (who watch our news while playing chess) will despise him, and I’m positive he will accomplish nothing.

The cold facts are Trump has the *exact* options Biden did. Sure he’ll get a better deal, but the (bad/worse) choices are the same if he wants this ended - as promised.

All Russia has to do is sit on their newly pushed-out border and continue to suck our military dry.

They will not allow NATO in the rump state of Ukraine...period.

--- From the Pakistani article, "Judging by numerous leaks and Donald Trump's own interview with Time magazine ...."

The current president is someone named Biden. 20 January, ex-President Trump become our next President Trump. "As I was saying...."

In the interim and with full recollection that contact for incoming members of the previous Trump administration BEFORE the inauguration led to the mistreatment of Gen. Flynn and impeachment accusations against President Trump about phone calls, it is likely that -- wait for it -- the US is still being represented by Biden and Blinken, and the incoming Trump team is being VERY careful not to give the "lawfare" Democrats and "never-Trumpers" any leverage at all.

Biden -- horrid man that he is -- is President through until the inauguration. How about that?

Well it's put together by tthe same folks who grew up negotiating budget deals with the likes of Paul Ryan, who had zero neurons or energy for how to get something for their side.
