Oswald owned the rifle, he had built a sniper's nest next to the window, he fled the scene after the shooting, and he killed a policeman. I can't see how he was innocent.

I think the conspiracy is suppressing Oswald’s role. He was a radical Marxist who wanted to make an anti American statement. The leagues of anti Americans don’t want that fact taught.

This has been going on since the get-go. Having been shot by a Communist who had lived in the Soviet Union and was shilling for Fidel Castro, JFK should have been considered a victim of Communism and a Cold War hero. However, as James Piereson demonstrates in his book Camelot and the Cultural Revolution: How the Assassination of John F. Kennedy Shattered American Liberalism (New York: Encounter, 2013), the Left quickly transformed him into a martyr for civil rights and other liberal causes.

Even Warren Commission counsel Arlen Specter understood that.

Hence the "magic" bullet theory was hatched.
