Standing alone, the corruption raises a lot of red flags, but it also takes on sinister proportions as we see Ukraine move toward Turkey.
Europe now has no more corrupt country than Ukraine. For the third consecutive year, the country has been grappling with the repercussions of an ongoing war, seeking ways to sustain and operate all governmental institutions while relying heavily on international aid. Additionally, as was to be expected, within the Ukrainian government, there are individuals who are still attempting to profit amid a substantial budget shortfall.
Most Ukrainian ministers are currently someone’s proteges, with real power concentrated in the hands of several characters who influence decision-making and receive financial rewards. One such group is the State Property Fund of Ukraine (“SPFU”), which manages the privatization, leasing, assessment, and seizure of state assets. The SPFU operates under the supervision of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak. Until recently, Yermak’s deputy for economic matters, Rostislav Shurma, oversaw the fund.
Shurma’s career ended this September after allegations of corruption and fostering a negative image of the official in the media. The US was rumored to have refused to work with him and insisted on his dismissal. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as befits a person who does not make independent decisions regarding his country’s domestic policy, complied with the instructions of Biden’s associates. Consequently, Shurma found himself unemployed.

Russia is at least as corrupt as Ukraine, probably moreso.
What about Albania? Extremely corrupt.
Corruption should be taken into consideration, but it should never be a centerpiece of our policy.
We just had the most corrupt administration in the history of the United States, the Biden administration.
You have a point there. But, most of the corruption will still be in the US government after Biden is out of office.

Exactly, and built upon x 1000. That said, it is expected as Ukraine is the absolute poorest of all nations in Europe….$$$ billions of Ukie loans ( IMF, World Bank, etc) destined for the people, infrastructure, economy was all stolen ( and defaulted on) by their government officials.
Ask any Ukrainian citizen about their government’s corruption, they all know this.
He did take heed, and was impeached for that.

I don’t rank the nations of the world on a corruption scale, but the United States ranks 24th in the most recent rating.
The US is probably the most corrupt nation on Earth after 16-years of Obama/Biden and the Deep State. The tip top of US sanction corruption is that White Men are discriminated against by law, and that even White Women get a hiring or educational preference under the government; toss in every other race and gender... you get the picture. The US is totally Fu*ked from within.
Maybe others will see some of the best youtube content produced on this subject with both insight and humor... something sadly lacking around here.
