An ex-defense official has claimed the US government is deliberately hiding that fact we are ‘not alone’ - amid numerous drone sightings across the country.

Luiz Elizondo, who was the head of the Defense Department's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, made the shocking remarks about an alleged ‘cover up’ while testifying before congress last month. The hearing, attended by numerous other witnesses, was held to investigate UFOs, otherwise known as unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAPs).

The belief that something cannot exist or happen simply because humans do not understand it is a form of anthropocentrism, particularly intellectual anthropocentrism. This perspective places human understanding and cognition at the center of what is considered real or possible, assuming that reality is constrained by the limits of human comprehension.

Anthropocentrism dismisses the possibility that reality encompasses phenomena infinitely beyond human understanding, implying an unwarranted confidence in human knowledge.

This mindset overlooks the vast history of human discovery, where all phenomena were initially incomprehensible or considered impossible until they were better understood (e.g., all modern inventions would look like magic to ancient humans)

Anthropocentrism is the hallmark of human stupidity.

...It TERRIFIES me that so many here don’t understand what an undertaking space travel would be at the distances needed...

While I don't think these drone things are ET property, it disappoints me that anyone lacks the imagination to understand that we just might not know everything about physics. You see, the UFO accounts that have occurred in great number in the past do, in fact, defy our understanding of physics and aerodynamics. Somehow you think the proper explanation for that is that thousands of people have been lying for hundreds of years.

Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward."
