We saw the new movie release ….. A Complete Unknown. This is a movie about Bob Dylan from his starts in 1961 to 1965.
This was FANTASTIC. There are not enough superlatives to describe how well this movie was done, and how much I enjoyed it. Yes, I am a big fan of his music. This movie is a must own when it is available.
There should be an academy award or two from this movie.
Anyone else here see it today?
Where
Saw it in Oklahoma City.
I saw the trailer on TV.
Looks good....
See it if you can.
It’s in Jacksonville Florida where I am
Thanks..an old Dylan fan back in the day
I still remember Joan Baez line from “Diamonds and Dust”
“You burst on the scene, already a legend.”
You will love it
Dust = Rust of course.
Going tomorrow hopefully.
Bob from Hibbing MN nade ut big
Saw it today w family and last week sneak preview
I liked it very much
The kids wanted to see Timothy’s now they’re reading all about the real life characters, ordering Dylan books. Telling me Maggie’s farm was played at the end of “the other guys”
Hit in my house
Dylan’s a leftist. No thanks!
This is the first time I’ve heard of this movie. I’m interested and will have to look it up to see if it’s available here.
Another one I am looking forward to is Becoming Led Zeppelin which has a February 7th IMAX release.
He is?
I figure he’s more of a panderer. His public statements about religion and society keep changing every decade or so.
Excellent movie. Rated as a 7.8 on IMDB. Should be good for an academy award or two, and at least nominated for Best Picture. The actors did their own singing and guitar playing. There were a couple of things I thought didn’t fit in very well, but overall it was a very entertaining movie.
lol I would go for Phil Ochs but Dylan would never have anyone of an equal or greater caliber in his docs (at least the ones that are self produced).
I saw it today and LOVED it.
Born in ‘47 in NYC, the decade of the 60s was a time of awakening. Looking back, I don’t think there was another period that had more of an influence on my awareness of the world around me.
‘A Complete Unknown’ brought back much of that experience. I can’t wait to see it again to catch what I missed.
My impression is that he’s more of a small “L” libertarian, but I haven’t looked into his political beliefs much.
Baez from Diamonds and Rust
I bought you cufflinks, you bought me... something..
