Abercrombie & Fitch CEO has dementia, claim lawyers amid sex trafficking charges

Attorneys representing longtime Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Michael Jeffries in his sex trafficking and prostitution case have claimed he has dementia and will need to undergo a competency hearing to determine whether he can face the vile charges.

The lawyers wrote in court documents on Monday that the 80-year-old was examined by a neuropsychologist in October, who concluded that he likely has dementia with behavioral disturbance, Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementia.

They claimed the neuropsychologist concluded that Jeffries exhibited cognitive impairments including impaired memory, diminished attention, processing speed slowness and ease of confusion.

Jeffries does 'not even come close to resembling a Master's degree-educated individual who was just nine years earlier the chief executive officer of a publicly traded company,' attorney Brian Bieber argued, according to Bloomberg.

He went on to question whether Jeffries could 'rationally assist - on a sustained and consistent basis' his attorneys 'in connection with the possible factual and legal defenses to the allegations he was facing.'

Defense attorneys and prosecutors have now agreed to let the expert who examined Jeffries testify at a two-day competency hearing in June.

In the meantime, Jeffries remains free on a $10million bond after he pleaded not guilty to accusations that he sexually abused 15 young male models between 2008 and 2015.

Prosecutors have claimed he, his partner Matthew Smith and alleged fixer James Jacobson lured the men to drug-fueled sex parties in the Hamptons by promising them they would model for the retailer's ads.

Mt bride and I are of the view that no “competency” to stand trial should be applied in any case. If there are facts to be presented before a court judge and jury, then present and adjudicate them. If the defendant is “incompetent,” it should not be a “get out of jail” card. After adjudication of the facts in any case, such “incompetency” can be considered in the sentencing phase. Not before.

Seems to me if he was competent then that should be the standard. The weekend at Bernie’s defense is a sham. If a demented imbecile like bidet can be president this POS should stand for his crimes. Of course money talks here.

It worked for Biden and he got to keep his job.

Hey, that excuse is working well for Biden. Can’t be responsible for his actions if he’s lost his mind. Just a poor demented old guy who should spend the rest of his days in the loving embrace of his family.

This seems to be the thing now. Unfit to stand trial due to dementia.

My first thought. The nasty A&F porn star ads. I used to wonder how parents let their kids wear the billboard t-shirts.

So “dementia” (real or faked) is the new “Get Out of Jail Free” card?

Honestly, that’s a low bar. Most independently functioning 80 year-olds will exhibit those symptoms in varying degrees.

Friend of mine managed an A&F at the height of popularity. Would say he was amazed at what parents would buy for their pre-teen daughters. Showed me a pair of shorts that looked like a denim eye patch.

It’s gotten worse. Now parents allow their tween girls dress in Victoria’s Secret PINK. Degradation all around.

If he has Lewy Body Dementia then that is the worst punishment he can have, it is fast moving and no treatment, he will probably be dead within a year or less.

“A&F CEO WTF?”

A&F is one of the companies that was part of Les Wexner’s retail empire Limited Brands. These companies included Limited, Express, Victoria’s Secret, A&F, Lane Bryant, Lerner, Bath & Body Works, White Barn Candle, Henri Bendel. These stores dominated shopping malls in middle America from the 1980’s into the 21st century. Les Wexner

Les Wexner was a close friend and business associate of Jeffrey Epstein. The Epstein ties to Wexner has been documented in a number of press accounts including this linked article from New York magazine: https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2022/06/how-leslie-wexner-helped-create-jeffrey-epstein.html

If you read the article you will see that Les Wexner was a major source of funds for Epstein.

The cultures of the retail companies in Les Wexner’s organization reflected the values of the leadership. To managers and executives working for major retail chains, or for suppliers of the company, the accusations against the A&F executive are not a surprise.

Hopefully many more of the wealthy and powerful involved with Jeffrey Epstein, and his enablers, will also have the opportunity spend time in the courtroom and behind bars. The full extent of the debauchery and corruption of the ruling class needs to be exposed and punished for this nation to return to greatness.
