Greg Lake (of King Crimson and Emerson, Lake and Palmer) performs his 1975 classic "I Believe in Father Christmas" filmed live at St. Bride's Church, Fleet Street, in the City of London with Jethro Tull' s Ian Anderson on flute, David Arch on keyboards, Florian Opahle on acoustic guitar and the church choir.
Merry Christmas

Stunning. What a beautiful rendition. Thanks for posting. We are so fortunate to have had such talent on Earth. Greg is unfortunately so longer with us but Ian is.
Honestly, I still don’t know if the meaning of this song is good or bad.
Not particularly a fan of Greg Lake, but he does a nice job. I see that everyone (performers) respectfully showed up in “civilian” attire rather than the clothes of their Day Job...
I’m listening to Christmas music on Classic FM from the UK as I scroll through the forum.
They play that song frequently as well as many other Christmas tunes not commonly heard in the states.
Ian Anderson i from Jethro Tull. This is a great song. ๐๐
What a song! Merry Christmas, FRiend.
Thanks
Peter Gabriel played flute in Genesis and on some of his solo pieces.
Andrew Latimer played flute in some Camel songs as well.
Yes, these are not straight up rock and roll bands, but you get the idea.

They have a couple. Christmas albums.
One of the best lyrics from โ A Christmas Songโ
Once in Royal David’s City stood a lonely cattle shed,
where a mother held her baby.
You’d do well to remember the things He later said.
When you’re stuffing yourselves at the Christmas parties,
you’ll just laugh when I tell you to take a running jump.
You’re missing the point I’m sure does not need making
that Christmas spirit is not what you drink.
So how can you laugh when your own mother’s hungry,
and how can you smile when the reasons for smiling are wrong?
And if I just messed up your thoughtless pleasures,
remember, if you wish, this is just a Christmas song.
Yes.
Yes it does.
Just ask Metallica.
:D
/diehard Tull junkie
Saw ELP open for Tull years ago.
Procul Harum opening for them was better, imo.
Love this song. Been trying to learn on guitar and my fingers aren’t too resilient anymore. One of my fav Christmas songs
