He who controls the ice controls the universe!
So, he was serious the first time. We, the public, will need to be educated on the national security advantages of taking that step. I almost expected this sort of conversation would be concerning Israel or Canada, vs Greenland.
Strategic territory with strategic minerals in strategic waterways. Alaska 2.0
...Channeling Art Bell...
We need Greenland as it will be a paradise after the upcoming pole shift, making the Gulf Coast uninhabitable...
Relatively easily accessible rare earths.
Theres the tip of a thought trying to wriggle its way out of my mind like a nightcrawler but its too late...Russia, oil, owner ship of the arctic floor. Where is this thought going? Dont know, releasing it to a life of its own and going to bed.
,,, maybe the evolving polar shipping route is something that needs a US submarine base close by?
How much would it sell for? $3 trillion? $5 trillion? Would the inhabitants have a say in the matter or would it just be Denmark’s call?
How does the US persuade Denmark to part with Greenland? And how does the US pay for it?
Tourism.
Also, as a counterbalance to Russia’s hold on the north.
Pow! Pow!
Why?
Why do we need a big chunk of ice?
He’s serious
Eskimos prolly think more $$$ and likely to agree
Investments and tourism and military id guess
Thoughts ?
Willl Denmark go along on their end
What a disgusting post on a family-friendly Christian conservative site. Yuck.
It costs Denmark a lot to manage with very few Greenlander Danes and to no real advantage (and the price no where near trillions).
Lol. The ice must flow!
I agree. Report abuse.
Source of rare earth seems to me to be most important. Depending on China for that can’t be good in the long run. I don’tknow how active Denmark is in developing rare earth supplies in Greenland.
