2. While the contemporary world has converted to the theory of ‘less is more’, some people take the concept way too far. This terribly frail, one-branched tree seems like a killjoy for any Christmas gathering. The tree is so small that gifts the size of ring boxes will barely fit underneath the branch-less stem. Maybe that is the whole idea though?

One year, I bought this as an impulse buy while in the Walgreens checkout line.

My wife agreed to use it for Christmas.

I set it up on Christmas eve.(That's when the near family celebrates our Christmas)

Christmas day the far and near family met in a rented hotel suite in Lake Geneva to celebrate Christmas.
We brought the tree with us. My wife wanted to use it. I stuck my chest out, thinking I had made a good buy.

Turns out, it was the first thing my wife put in the white elephant grab bag.

Too Funny

We had one as well —also had the rotating color light until my brother held on to the light and it melted in front of the spotlight attached. I guess he just wanted to see what would happen.

More examples to pile on the fire. The article calls them "Worst" but lets be frank, the there are an unlimited number of ways to make something bad so its hard to tag these with a superlative.

This is how you celebrate the fact that God has redeemed mankind from Hell by taking on human flesh? I don’t see it. OTOH, the one of the most purposely stupid things I’ve ever read is that the Christmas tree is really a pagan Asheroth (sp?) pole; this really is a pole.

For several years I made do with a length of plastic garland in a 5-quart ice cream bucket - does that qualify?
