MESA, Ariz. - Holiday cards and packages are criss-crossing the country before Christmas, but a few appear to have been rerouted illegally when they got to a UPS warehouse in Mesa.
Now, four men are accused of being more interested in making profits than making deliveries. The suspects have been identified as:
Bo Arias Casey Bedell Jeremy Large David Panasci
The suspects didn’t have much to say in court on Dec. 18, but the presiding judge said plenty.
"You were all arrested on allegations of theft of controlled property, which is a Class 3 felony, and Mr. Arias and Mr. Panasci, you are charged with one count of fraudulent schemes of fraud, a Class 2 felony," the presiding judge said.
The four are accused of identifying expensive looking packages inside a Mesa UPS warehouse, filled with things like electronics and other household products, and switching the labels in order to send it to themselves for later selling. The four were reportedly involved in an operation of sorts over the past 12 months.
We stopped by one of the suspects' homes in the East Valley, on Dec. 18, but people at the home said the suspect was not home.
Officials with UPS refused to comment, citing an ongoing investigation.

And I hope these four thieves go to jail for a long time.
“Bo Arias Casey Bedell Jeremy Large David Panasci”
You know you’ve made a bad hire when the guy has NINE names! And I thought some of the long Hispanic names were tough.
😎
“For people who think their package was stolen while en route to their home, they may be able get a small refund, but the best way to protect oneself is to insure the package for what it’s worth.”
even better, don’t use UPS to ship your packages ...
Commas save lives.

Unusual names...
Closer to home, I mailed an envelope to a member of my family with 3 Christmas cards and 2 Birthday cards in it on Monday - 12/16..
All the cards clearly show from the envelopes that they are greeting cards and in our city, those have a way of disappearing from the mail...so I took the safe way out and mailed them all in an inconspicuous envelope. LOL
Mailed them at the P. O. from an address, to an address in the same city and paid for tracking. Tracking shows that they ARE IN POSSESSION OF THE USPS...I find that awesome. Tracking at first showed that delivery would be at 9 pm on Thursday 12/19 - kind of like they’ve been taken over by Amazon! THEY SHOULD BE!!!
Mailed from the USPS and the USPS still has POSSESSION OF THEM. Great work - aren’t they looking for postage increase? For what?
One of the birthdays is Monday and it’s beginning to look like the one envelope containing 5 cards is not going to make it and probably won’t even by the 25th...
Found and filed a form online on USPS this morning to state the problem! No humans to answer the phone at the local PO. May get a response in December 2025?
I love that humor!!!!
I’m sorry - I went on a harangue about the USPS - reading the UPS wrong....I keep saying “next year will be better” but will it?
