Furious shoppers have blasted Amazon workers for throwing the holidays into chaos by launching the 'largest-ever' strike against the online retailer just six days before Christmas.
Workers from seven Amazon facilities across the US walked off the job today in a bid to pressure the company to come to a labor agreement during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters says it represents nearly 10,000 workers at 10 Amazon facilities, though it is not clear how many people will participate in the walkout.
Teamsters boss Sean O'Brien has told customers to 'blame Amazon's insatiable greed' if their deliveries are 'delayed during the holidays'.
But angry shoppers have berated staff for putting their Christmases at risk by launching a strike during the last-minute shopping rush.
One customer argued 'it is not the time' for a strike, while others warned it was 'time to panic'. Another went as saying 'employees can kiss my a** right now for going on strike right before Christmas!'
Amazon says it doesn't expect an impact on its operations during what the union calls the largest strike against the company in US history.
Meanwhile, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez were spotted strolling into Mar-a-Lago last night to enjoy a dinner with President-elect Donald Trump.

Union not workers.
Just as well. We have to reassess our social contract. Amazon is going through it but it’s not social.
Labor unions will be the NUMBER ONE problem if Trump tries to bring production home, just as they were before management got fed up with them in the 1990s and sent everything abroad.
The union called for a strike as a form of extortion.
Amazon will lose lots of customers now they will NEVER get back.
Idiots in both labor AND management.
This is a disruption that cannot quickly be reversed.
How much less could anyone give a damn?
Teamsters
I could care less, but only if I were dead.
Just got a notice this morning that two of my deliveries (Christmas gifts) - that were scheduled to be delivered yesterday have now been delayed.
Anyone know if all Amazon locations are union or only those on strike?
I think all our stuff is in already. No effect here.
Unions are not the problem, union infiltration by communists is the problem. The left has perverted government, education, media and corporate boards. They must be ripped out by the root.
The one person that I ordered for (drew his name out of a hat) is going go get a picture of his gift and a promise that he’ll see it someday.
Actually it is from Walmart so strike probably doesn’t affect it but it said delivery by Dec. 26 when I ordered.
I don’t care for unions, but if shoppers are waiting until the last few days to shop, then that is their problem.
Teamsters boss Sean O’Brien has told customers to ‘blame Amazon’s insatiable greed’ if their deliveries are ‘delayed during the holidays’.
Obviously.
“Unions are not the problem, union infiltration by communists is the problem.”
Don’t agree - the concept of an entity independent of management organizing workers is EXACTLY the problem, at least in the US as workers will ALWAYS be drawn to union leadership candidates who hate the ‘guys who wear ties’.
To fix that, you need an entire revamp of society to make to make American culture much more like Japan, where you always get great service from workers and there is NEVER tipping, for example.
Teamsters are scum IMHO.
“The union called for a strike as a form of extortion.”
There is no union. The only people being hurt by this are the families of the drivers who thought it was a good idea to listen to a bunch of thugs trying to extort Amazon. Do I give a squat if my Christmas present comes a day or two late?
I’m just waiting for the LSM to declare that this is Trump’s fault and children will be devastated by not being able to open gifts on Christmas morning. Of course this coming from leftist commentators who think Christmas is some sort of satanic holiday.
