Knife Check at the Ludwigshafen Christmas Market
Gates of Vienna ^ | 17 Dec, 2024 | Baron Bodissey

In Germany, culture-enrichers with knives are increasingly causing problems in public places. The mujahideen are also known to target Christmas markets wherever they possibly can. As a result, a new law has been passed that allows police to check visitors to the Christmas markets for knives, without needing any probable cause (or “suspicion”).

The following article concerns a recent news video showing the police searching visitors to the Christmas market in the city of Ludwigshafen in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The dutiful police-girls and -boys make sure to search Potato Germans as well as “southern-looking” gentlemen.

A subtitled version of the SWR news video described below is currently in the works, and will be posted soon, probably tomorrow.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the online news portal Nius. The translator’s comments are in square brackets:

“It is a document of madness”

It seems like satire, but in the end it is bitter reality. In a television report by the public broadcaster SWR, a camera team accompanies two police officers during a knife check at the Ludwigshafen Christmas market.

Due to the increasing number of knife attacks in the country, there are so-called knife- or weapon-free zones in several cities. These are intended to make it easier for officers to check people and, if necessary, take action.

It goes without saying that a potential attacker is unlikely to be influenced by whether he is in a weapons-free zone before committing his crime. This makes the scenes at the Christmas market in the Palatinate all the more absurd. The police check, one might think out of desperation or simple obedience, both a young couple who are eating a bratwurst and several older ladies — and take away their Swiss army knives if they have them. The officers have to reveal the contents of their handbags and jacket pockets. Astonished and taken by surprise, the people cooperate.

Birgit Kelle and Pauline Voss discussed these images of a helpless — and at the same time authoritarian — state on Tuesday morning at NIUS Live.

[second video clip]

“The state targets those it dares to target”

“Potential threats, German sleepers such as housewives and pensioners, are systematically removed from circulation,” commented moderator Alex Purrucker. “You get the feeling it’s like a simulation. My first thought was: This isn’t real,” agrees Birgit Kelle. “I would like to know how many 30-year-old women are listed in the police statistics as knife attackers, so that there might be a reason” for these measures. “That shows how the public is being fooled.” The police are allowing themselves to be used for political purposes. [They have always been the cowardly thug-force of any totalitarian regime, After all, their profession is OPPRESSION.]

“It is a document of madness,” says Pauline Voss. The article documents “how freedom is increasingly being restricted in Germany. And from two sides.” On the one hand, through uncontrolled mass migration, and on the other, through the repressive state, which does not take action against the actual danger, but instead harasses innocent people with senseless rules. “The state is targeting the people it can afford to and dares to target.” The repression is directed against its own population. Out of fear of being attacked, out of fear of being confronted with accusations of “racial profiling,” suspects NIUS reporter Voss. [Any public “servant” — what a joke — that lives in fear of meaningless words has lost any credibility in my eyes. They are the fifth column of the Enemy.]

The state is making a fool of us” [Because the people allow it and are in fear of their employees. Maybe they should fire them instead of re-hiring them every few years. Let them starve for a change.]

“I also don’t want to live in a country where I have to show my bags first when I go to the Christmas market.” During the Corona period, it became clear how unbureaucratically and naturally the state could intervene in the privacy of citizens, says Voss. “What surprised me was the calm and composure with which good German citizens allowed themselves to be searched,” notes Kelle. “This behavior leads to the state making a fool of us.” More resistance is needed, says the author. [The German people have been conditioned over centuries to be subservient to their “overlords”, and hardly ever rose against them. And when they did, the vast majority of their fellow countrymen stabbed them in the back to gain the favour of the oppressor.]

Afterword from the translator:

The knife controls miss the point: Which Islamic “holy warrior” will comply with this? Especially since knives were already banned in Mannheim under the current law?

This is purely a placebo for the population, which has no effect other than making people have nightmares about Swiss army knives.

Anyway, I have yet to hear of an Islamic terror attack at a Medieval/Renaissance Festival. I wonder what could be the reason for that? Could it be that almost ALL participants are ARMED and many of the dressed-up visitors, too?

Let’s arm the population according to the Texan motto, and any aspiring “holy warrior” will get a speed date with his creator, SATAN!

Looking at all of this insanity I’m so glad that I left Germany at the end of 1988, and that my wife didn’t get her residence permit in 2010 when we decided to leave South Africa and move to Germany. And that our later attempts to move to other European countries came to nothing.

Here our cops wouldn’t even try to do this, they would simply refuse such an order from above, since they need the goodwill of the populace in their fight against real criminals.

I wonder how many white grandmothers had knives concealed? Of course they won’t search anyone who looks like they could be a muslim because that would be racist.

Yup. It's like TSA -- little old ladies in wheelchairs must be searched diligently. Young Muslim males with angry faces can be waved through -- it would be racist to hassle them.

Right after 9/11 I worked with a Scottish guy -- heavy accent, 6'-5", red hair pale skin with freckles. He said flying had become an enormous hassle because TSA would ALWAYS search him.

The insanity is so-called “wokeness” where the obvious is avoided. Pox upon anyone and any government that is woke.

You voted to be overrun by muslims.

You still don’t have the balls to do anything serious about it.

Welcome to your imminent Dhimmi-hood.

Instead of welfare the Germans can go to need-based tax refunds.

A Russian general and an assistant were blown to kingdom come in Moscow.

If Russia can’t control bad things like explosives, why would Germans think Frau Feier could?

Glad I don't live there. I generally have on me a folder, a multitool, and a Swiss Army knife, and I'll use all three on almost any given day.

On the other hand, that's a nice-looking Polizei officer there. Maybe she'll do strip searches on request.

Good job German cop... hassle the old German woman.

Don’t want to discriminate.

More like just wants to appear to do the job whilst keeping safeensteiner.

Everyone’s a grifter.

So if the leftists can ban all “assault weapons” aka any bullet spitting device will they also ban knives, axes, shovels, hammers, gasoline bombs and whatever to keep us safe?

Reminds me of going through airport security - I always get the body search, patted down (no reason given), my son has his possession spread out in front of him and pawed through along with being patted down.

Before my stuff, especially food or medicine, gets fondled by TSA I ask the agent to put on fresh gloves and they oblige. I don’t know what they fondled previously.
