IMO, only to the public. I'm guessing that the military already knows who is sending these drones. I'm inclined to believe that the drones are U.S. military assets.

If I had an appropriate anti-drone device and a clear shot I’d take it. These people have pissed me off to the Nth degree and I DGAGDF anymore.

If that's the case, what do we do in event we really think there may be a dirty bomb in NYC? Shut down the interference sources and then deploy the drones?

It was just gently moving about 300’ over a harvested cornfield.
I slowed down briefly but the car clock showed I had about 12 minutes to get food or not.
Oddly enough, slightly further west last night, same area, saw lights again and this time pulled over.
No lights in mere seconds as if it switched off.
Really good large/long line of sight so I don’t think it “ took off” so much as turned off.
Continued on my journey.

If that is a part of their exercise, then they are complete idiots…all forms of disaster exercises happen regularly throughout the country. The local public is always notified - so they avoid strong public reaction. Point being: you don’t have to test public reaction because you can predict it easily enough. If they are testing public reaction, they’re defacto idiots. You know what the public’s reaction will be, so you are ALWAYS better off being forthright with large exercises.
This regime is textbook for the adage: if they could tell the truth, and it would do them good, they’d lie anyway.
A psyop needs to have a real purpose.
Generalities don’t cut it.
