American Thinker ^

So long as citizens act within the law they must be immune from criminal prosecution and.

Won’t that discourage criminals? Won’t that encourage brave New Yorkers to stand up to criminals just as Penny did?

I prefer the Bernie Goetz approach-much more effective.

Daniel Penny was a sheepdog, protecting the flock. Jordan Neely was the wolf. Alvin Bragg put himself in the position of the shepherd. Didn't work this time.

Bernie Goetz was much more effective because he was more crazy than those who would hurt him. The subways were much safer following his action. More people paid attention to the incident than they did at the trial. It was man-bites-dog. Quite entertaining.

We need more Bernie Goetz’ out there.

Daniel Penny’s mistake was riding on the subway in the first place. “We” don’t need more Bernie Goetz’ out there. “We” just need to move away from sh!tholes like NYC that are governed by stunted misfits and losers.

Rudy became mayor in ‘93. Law and order. NY was a pretty good place to be. Yes it’s who they are ‘governed’ by.

Black criminals are never guilty. The Black american organization is now on notice. If you attack us, you can die very quickly.

Black criminal lives don’t matter

It should be a crime, both state and federal, for a prosecutor to prosecute a person for a crime which the prosecutor knows the defendant did not commit. Alvin Bragg should go to prison.

Penny would be wise to move to a blue state where bravery and honor are respected

I’m going to assume that’s a typo.

“ Bernie Goetz was much more effective because he was more crazy than those who would hurt him. The subways were much safer following his action. ”

Before Bernie was caught, every subway thug had to worry about that mild looking white guy sitting quietly on the train.

Obviously you've never had to drive and park daily in NY city.

I worked in Manhattan from 1995-1998. It was pretty nice back then. On my walk from Penn Station to the office (across the street from Madison Square Park, and later up at Rockefeller Center) I’d see at least two NYPD cops at every single intersection. Garbage cans were never overflowing, and the streets in general were clean and nearly free of litter.

I don’t even think about going into the city anymore. Not so much because it’s so much less safe (though that is true), but because it is just unpleasant.

I don’t know anyone who HAS TO travel to NYC. I must have missed something. When did NYC become a penal colony, and how did Daniel Penny end up there?

Americans should have the right to live wherever they want and ride whatever public transportation they please, in complete safety.

I saw a video of subway terminals in Budapest. At 2:00 a.m. they are pristine clean and safe. Women can walk the streets to the subway station and ride the trains at 2:00 a.m. They seem to think nothing of it.

What’s the difference? Hmmm.

I have some new for you: New York City isn’t America anymore.

If you want to live in a safe city, you’d be better off moving to Aleppo or Baghdad.

In other words, NYC was “pretty nice” because it was a police state?

Seeing police on every corner in NYC hardly rendered it a “police state”. After the Dinkins era, it was necessary to tone down the street criminals, and that is exactly what it did.
