Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s personal attorney previously lobbied the Food and Drug Administration to revoke the approval of the polio vaccine, highlighting an influential Kennedy ally who, sources tell ABC News, has been helping interview candidates for top health jobs in the incoming Trump administration.
Aaron Siri, a partner at the law firm Siri & Glimstad, has long fought against the widespread prevalence of vaccines. He has also filed petitions seeking to pause the distribution of other vaccines, including Hepatitis B, and to revoke the emergency use authorization of COVID-19 vaccines.
The polio petition was made on behalf of one of Siri's clients, the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), a group founded by Del Bigtree, another close Kennedy ally who also has been involved in health-related transition matters, according to sources.
"Petitioner requests that the FDA withdraw or suspend the approval for [the polio vaccine] for infants, toddlers, and children until a properly controlled and properly powered double-blind trial of sufficient duration is conducted to assess the safety of this product," Siri wrote.
The polio vaccine available in the United States is recommended for children and three doses offer at least 99% protection against severe disease, including paralysis, according to the CDC. Side effects are usually mild and go away on their own, the agency notes, and the vaccine has not been known to cause serious problems.

Even the article you link to says I am right.
Oh,I almost missed about your son. I will Pray for him and for you. Is he your only child? I had 3 more healthy ones raised and I am blessed.
I am so sorry that your son is fighting the good fight with cancer. I know what you are facing, the same as I did. I will pray for him for strength and healing for both of you. I will see him in my mind and send him up to the Lord for healing.
You’re wrong...Polio had increased from the 1940s by leaps and bounds before the Salk vaccine came out.
“Confirmation bias”:
Look it up.
Read the book, Dr. Mary’s Monkey. There is a lot in that book that talks about the two versions of the polio vaccine that came out in the 1960s. It talks about Dr. Alton Ochsner and his interest in one version over the other and how it had devastating effects on his two grandchildren.
There are two version of the Polio vaccine: Injected and Oral.
The oral vaccine is the most common today. It uses a weakened form of the virus. It can be stored at room temperature and cost pennies to make. The injected version must be refrigerated. So the oral version is preferred, especially in areas that have no refrigeration.
However, on occasion the oral vaccine reverts to the full Polio virus. It happens very rarely but enough that it causes a few deaths each year. But compared to thousands dying of real polio each year it is considered the best option.
Polio has almost been eliminated like smallpox. The only countries where it is still a problem are Muslim crapholes Pakistan and Afghanistan
Sadly, the AIDS virus is real.
You are somewhat correct, but the vaccine was introduced in 1957, by 1955 cases were already dropping drastically. You don’t want to take another look at all of the vaccines? With record amounts of Cancer, and autism in the US, you aren’t just a bit curious? There was SV40 virus in the early vaccines, which is a known cause of cancer. They use “immortal cell lines” in the making of vaccines, which is essentially what cancer is, a cell that is nearly impossible to cure. 1 in 2 men will get cancer in the US, 1 in 4 women. Overall, the ratee is 1 out of every 3. Scientists tell us that people died much younger, in the early 20th century, and cancer is more prevalent as you age. The stats are skewed, if they used only children whe lived to age 12 in the studies, and eliminate women who died in childbirth, people lived just about as long as we do now. I knew a lot of people who lived into their late 90’s, who were born in the late 1800’s. Something is different, Cancer is an epidemic. We need too find out what is causing it.
The vaccine was first introduced in 1954.
“ That’s RIDICULOUS!! Polio Vaccine has been a MIRACLE!”
Agree.
Hopefully this story isn’t accurate
All vaccines are not equal. The polio vaxx came out when I was in first or second grade. They lined us all up and the school nurse came by with pink sugar cubes. I can’t imagine how many lives were spared that year. I went through school with a girl who had to wear a brace on her leg because of polio. Polio and small pox vaccines are life savers.
I notice you skipped 1955 problems with the Cutter vaccine which killed or injured thousands. The problem is that the government is allowing the companies who produce these to have no responsibility when there s a problem and the people have no redress
Read this book and you’ll realize that it probably isn’t. The author of the book is probably one of the most renowned virologist in the world. When you read the book you find out that the age virus has never been isolated in a laboratory setting.
You are saying the polio vaccine was a bad thing. I lived through the polio years.
Cutter was the lab that produced the vaccine deviated from Salk's protocol and a batch was contaminated with live virus....164 were paralyzed and 10 died. Others experienced muscle weakness.
