A million septillions...that’s a lot, isn’t it?

... Willow is a quantum computing chip capable of performing a task in 5 minutes that would take a supercomputer 10 septillion years to complete. It'll save energy but how will it effect bitcoin?

Actually, I think it’s 1,049.999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,968 times faster, but I could be wrong.

This won’t be ready for prime time for another 5 years. This model is more like a proof of concept model
So until this chip comes on the scene the stare of play willl be Nvidia GPU ‘s powering giant super computers like musks collossus.

So how much faster does it weld, fit pipes, wire a building, fix the leaking roof, pump out the septic tank clog, cut the grass, or repair a broken gas line?
Otherwise it's purpose is to spy on my data to sell boner pills and run algorithms to sell me Buffalo Wings .0037 seconds faster than the competition boner pills and Buffalo wings retailers.
Speed Kills. Always has. Always will.

How useful is Hartree-Fock? It leaves out configuration interaction.
And how useful is ordinary electronic structure anyway, you can use density functional theory?

Seriously, if this can be made at all practical, it will have a weird form of sentience.
We may not consider it “true” sentience, but it will be able to fake it to such a degree that the difference will be irrelevant.
This is not good.
