Seriously, if this can be made at all practical, it will have a weird form of sentience.

We may not consider it “true” sentience, but it will be able to fake it to such a degree that the difference will be irrelevant.

This is not good.

Is your calculator sentient? Is the computer you currently use sentient?

This hardware will be no different other than do all of that faster: search, sort and count...and derivations of those fundamental operations.
