I have it. I would not wish it upon my worst enemy. Constant ringing in one ear. Sudden and extreme attacks of vertigo out of nowhere. The entire world immediately starts spinning. You lose balance and frequently have to sit or lay down before you fall. Wild nausea and vomiting. Some attacks last 20 minutes. I’ve some attacks that have lasted for 12 hours.

It’s horrid. Huey Lewis has it. That’s why he no longer tours.

I have bouts of tinnitus sometimes worse than normal. I have a trick that lessons the noise. Cover your ears with your hands , use your fingers to tap the back of your head like a drum, do the drumming for 30 or more seconds. When you stop you will notice a reduction in the ringing for a few hours. I don’t know why it works but for me it does.

I don’t think that my younger brother has Meniere’s disease, but he used to complain (for years) of ear ringing / tinnitus.
I have not talked to him about it for quite some time,
so I don’t know if he still suffers from it or not.
I’ll ask him next time I talk to him - if I remember to.
Hope you get better - or at least improve! Bless you.

Me, too. It's horrible. The vertigo and nausea are like nothing I've ever experienced. And I'm someone who can be perfectly happy on a pitching boat in rough seas, but the violent (perceived) spinning in Meniere's just lays me out. The only way to lessen the violent vertigo of a severe attack is to stay in bed, but you can't stay in bed for the whole day.

Fortunately, mine is (mostly!) controlled with couple of off-label drugs. I've also found that a fairly high dose of NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.) can tame an active episode.

I thought I forgot that I had written a post.

Because that’s word for word how I feel.

I also have ethe pulsatile tinnitus.

My heartbeat..I will hear every single one until I die.

Vestibular area was damaged during head injury.

Cerebellum and hypothalums too.

Still recoving 20 years later.

They are WRONG about the 2 year recovery window for head injues.

Some things are STILL getting better.

Ohterss not so much.

A treatment for OUR nightmare, yours and mine, would be so welcome.

I will say prayers for you brother because I don’t get the dizzines that badly.

I wish you the best
