The leftists in NYC and San Francisco would lose their minds.
Not a chance in hell this passes.
It’d be cool though
For me, abortion was the big one. I wanted Roe v Wade overturned, and it was. Next on my list is Second Amendment. All gun control laws are unconstitutional and the government needs to recognize that.
Need a bill stating that all election results must be announced with in 12 hours of the polls closing.
Except DC. We don’t submit to laws of Congress.
Herein lies the rub. California, for example, will simply say only "unicorns" can be eligible.
If we were cats, Democrats would have us all declawed. But for humans, our natural defenses are the ones we carry.
It shouldn’t require a law. The universality of Constitutional rights should be unquestioned.
Of course it should flow state to state. It’s part of the Federal Constitution..that it’s not is ridiculous
And when the ChiCom and Is-Lame-Ass “Freedom Fighters” that have come in under Joey carry theirs in public, will Conservatives react the same way Saint RWR did in Cali and ban carry?
Shall not be infringed is for All.
Not just the favored group.
Infringing on rights makes for Bad JuJu.
Keeping them out is the right way.
I agree 100%….regardless of status in society, you have right to defend yourself by any means. If you are to pay taxes you are to carry a gun wherever you want…
The 2nd Amendment says
1) Keep
AND
2) Bear.
Bear means carry. Every state or city that denies citizens the right to carry is violating their constitutional rights.
Okay, got that covered.
I identify as a unicorn.
We’re good now, right?
They won't have to. This should only apply to "citizens."
“This should only apply to “citizens.””
So now you’ve piled up your first restriction on “the shall not be infringed”. Illegal, Non-Citizens shouldn’t be here, so we shouldn’t have to worry about it.
Other LEGAL Non-Citizens of various stripes would be covered as the 2nd doesn’t say only “Citizens”. Like Free Speech, or religious expression, it applies to everyone.
Lot’s of folks come under that group.
Yet-to-be-citizen spouses/dependents, international business and property owners, artists and athletes, traveling scholars, etc.
I pay $100 for right to carry in my state of Minnesota. That should be unconstitutional. Name another right that you have to pay for.
Next should be a similar act on silencers.
The only way that maybe it might pass is if they get rid of the filibuster which could be bad in the future if democrats get the senate back.
I like.
