Good riddance!

FBI Director Christopher Wray is preparing to resign as President Trump moves forward with nominee Kash Patel.

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (IA) sent Christopher Wray a blistering letter on Monday and told him and his deputy Paul Abbate to step down for the good of the country.

“For the good of the country, it’s time for you and your deputy to move on to the next chapter in your lives,” Mr. Grassley wrote in the letter to Wray, according to The Washington Times. “I therefore must express my vote of no confidence in your continued leadership of the FBI.”

Was it that or the FBI agents stealing property while raiding homes? There was a thread on it just yesterday.

You can’t fire me....I quit!

I assume an interim head will be named until Kash is confirmed.

Does it make a difference for him financially if he was fired as opposed to resigning?

I’ve done a Google Search.
No other article mentions he has resigned.
I don’t doubt Wray will resign.
But he has not resigned as of now.
GP is a click bait site.

Interesting that the Grassley letter also calls for the deputy director to also resign.

Normally it’s the deputy director who takes charge when the FBI director is removed, so would run the agency in the interim?

“GP is a click bait site.”

The headline says, “to” resign? Washington Post just released an article with the same storyline. But, you’re right, almost all news is clickbait.

The CIA trains their agents to read articles from two opposing sources. Where they agree is the truth, everything else is fluff.

There is a line of succession. Government agencies run, for the most part, on automatic pilot. The permanent bureaucracy or administrative state doesn’t depend on political appointees to function. It is why the Deep State is so pernicious and dangerous.

The CIA has only three political appointees - the Director, Deputy Director, and the head of the IG. The FBI is not much better. Google Plum Book and you can view all the political appointee jobs by agency.
