I will repeat, I have nothing to do with the map that I posted. It came from the article. 🙂👍

"Some states are safer than others in a nuclear attack... If there were an award for Most Inane Headline in History, this would be a shoe-in.

"...Citizens throughout much of Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming and parts of Colorado would suffer death within weeks of exposure to radiation after the silo states get decimated...." Not if they left and went somewhere else.
The key to surviving fallout is getting away from it.

Exposure to radiation poisoning from a nuclear attack would guarantee death for an estimated 300 million Americans within four days of detonation. Stay in the house! immediately fill the bathtub with water and drink from it only. A couple hours late will be too late. Cover windows inside with blankets, sheets and or towels. Keep the door shut.
If you have to go out, cover yourself head to fit and, when you return, be sure to throw away your clothes at the entrance of your house as quickly as possible.
Listen to the radio for further instructions.

That would be Bangor Washington. There is a base in Maine that talks to subs.

I live in Huntsville (suburbs) and have friends in the Defense Industry. We are a HIGH value target, like right behind The Pentagon and Cheyenne Mt. None of those three were on that map.

Yep. Left-coastal.
But D.C. will be hit by the war. Hard. Especially sub-launched attacks from the Atlantic.
