Pop singer Gwen Stefani has partnered with a Catholic prayer app for the Christmas season and is encouraging her fans to download it and use it with her.
“Imagine showing yourself this video in 1994. Seriously, I think it’s great that Gwen Stefani is a Christian, and is now more vocal about her faith. This is incredibly healthy for American culture,” commentator John William Sherrod wrote in a post on X.
Sherrod also posted a video in which the pop star explains why Christmas is her favorite time of the year.
“It’s the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord,” she said.
Stefani noted that she is partnering with the app Hallow as part of its “25-day prayer challenge leading up to Christmas.”
“Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate the truth that God so loved the world that He gave us His only Son,” she said in words echoing the message of John 3:16.
Stefani closed with an invitation to “join me in praying every day. God bless.”
Stefani’s partnership with Hallow got its share of reactions.(snip)
Stefani was raised as a Catholic and has continued in her faith throughout her career, the site reported.
Stefani, 55, recently spoke to People about her 2021 marriage to country star Blake Shelton(snip)
Shelton has commented about the role of religion in Stefani’s life, according to the U.S. Sun.
“She has such a strong faith in God,” he said in 2022. “That’s No. 1 in her life and has been her whole life.”
“She doesn’t beat you over the head with it. She would never do that. That’s her relationship,” he said.

"Singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani, a Catholic, commented on a reel ChurchPOP posted of Napa Institute’s Eucharistic procession with Father Mike Schmitz.
The Oct. 10 procession in New York City drew approximately 5,000 Catholics, including priests, nuns, and laity. Father Mike Schmitz began the event with Mass, followed by Benediction and a Eucharistic procession through the streets of Manhattan.
In her response, Stefani said the procession was “beautiful and brave.”
“Shakes up Internet”🙄
Good for her!
Wow! Gwen! You go, girl!
Spittake.
Good for her!
I remember a story she told from way back when No Doubt was just getting started. She said she pestered the crap out of her brother to let her in the band. He relented and the band took off big time after "Just a Girl" was released.
HOORAY Gwen!
This is outstanding. She always seemed like a down to earth person, putting her kids before career. Now I know why.
Good for her.
Amen!
Praise the LORD!
I am surprised. I’ve liked some of her music, and thought she was good in the movie, “The Aviator,” but never really delved into her personal life or views. I guess I assumed, especially after her doing a song with Moby, that she was just another hollyweird leftist, but credit where credit is due, good for her for recognizing the meaning of Christmas, probably at some degree of risk to her career.
“ You should know as you’re one of the vicious slanderers yourself.”
This makes the whole thing a bit suspect.
Most OF them (gotta fix that text)
Always been quirky yet classy and I am glad she contributed to the mainstream instead of being relegated to a religious subculture sideline. Also: I like that song with Moby! Southside? Or whatever.
“Don’t Speak” will always be a classic.
God bless.
I completely forgot she was in The Aviator, and that led me to wonder why she never acted in other films.
Then again, she probably had enough of that scene after being around the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio.
Seems a Freeper a few years back mentioned he knew her to a degree (30+ years back) as a bit of a hard, foul mouthed bar hussy from the Orange Co. CA. area.
How controversial
/s
Her hit song “Simple Kind Of Life” was rather profound, about priorities in life.
