Vulnerable Democrats, including Michigan and Georgia senators facing tough reelection fights in 2026, could vote for some of Trump's nominees to show they believe in bipartisanship, Punchbowl said.

Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., who is up for reelection in 2026 told Punchbowl. "I am, as always, open-minded."

Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., also up for reelection in 2026, said he would consider every candidate on their own merits.

2026-slim Pickens in takeover opportunities. These 2 are not 'vulnerable' without decent challengers. Who's gonna step up?

The only other thing we got going is old age(thinking retirement) democrats. Would Sununu be interested if Shaheen(age 79)called it quits? Warner will be 72 and I think Younger thinks the senate is beneath him. Incumbency will scare them both off. Same with Kemp taking on Ossoff in Ga.

Cleaning up the voting rolls on a national level would do the most to get us off our dead behinds.

You can’t loot the US Treasury if you can’t get elected.

Bottomline, theaten ing reelection is the only power level that is respected.

Yep. There are “purple” republican representatives and there are purple democrat representatives.

If we can get some Democrats to think about their own self-interest it would be a plus. That party tends to vote as a block — their leadership tells them how it’s going to be. That, in the past, has been the way for them to look out for their own self-interest. In a new era, with GOP dominance, that Democrat block might fracture a little.

“theatening reelection is the only power level that is respected”

And it’s a damned shame that’s where we are politically in this country.

I can’t understand why the RATS are scared of every Trump nominee. Bidenskyyyyyyyy is going to pardon every RAT for all their crimes committed against Americans during the Soetoro and Biden administration anyway. This also includes Karmalita’s 104 days in office.

Joanie Ernst is up. Charlie Kirk(podcast) has put her on notice over her comments on Hegseth. The pressure on her seems to have made her lighten up but she’s been that way for awhile. A house member ready to call it quits could take her on to send the biggest message but our people don’t fight. Kirk suggests one big challenge to an incumbent would send a big message to the rest. Problem is Ernst is in good(bad) company when it comes to Cassidy and Tillis. Lara Trump running against Tillis would send the biggest message.

The US Treasury.

How do I get my hands on that?

The answer to life the universe and everything.

It has been the case that a 1 vote majority is as good as a 100 for the rats especially in the House. The rats know that they actually just lost by lot more than it ended but they stole 4 Senate races and a dozen House seats. Maybe this might give them pause

They’ll vote for the shoe-ins. They won’t give any leverage for the controversial nominees.

Bernie is a big phoney. He votes party-line and gets paid off for keeping the crunchy granola crowd on the reservation.

That settles it. Trump(Lara) issues the ‘shot across the bow’ over Tillis. Don’t you think DJT would give his blessing?

Problem: too many will go right to get reelected only to go back to their old ways. What I’m saying is that it might be too late for Ernst. Cassidy couldn’t wait for a second term to go stale and Braun(Ind.) was smart enough to kick himself all the way to the governors mansion(read the tea leaves).

I'll take "Things Democrats only say when their power is threatened" for $100.00 Alex!
