Salvation is by faith alone.

We can’t earn it or keep it by works.

No, but you can loose it through sin. Catholics, contrary to Protestant allegations, do not believe that we earn our salvation through works. Although we do not believe in sola Scriptura or sola fide, we do believe in sola gratia.

Contrary to Catholic thinking, when God saves us, He does not abandon us to fend for ourselves and then zap us when we screw up. He is active in the life of the believer, always. Even when that believer is not in a place of full fellowship with God because of sin.

You have a major misunderstanding of Catholic teaching. Although we can abandon him, God never abandons us. He is constantly sending us his grace to avoid sin or to repent from our sins. Even when we are separated from him by our choice when we commit a mortal sin, he is still sending us his grace to repent. And when we do, and approach him in confession, forgiveness is ours just for the asking. We do not earn it by anything we do. If you are going to critique Catholic teaching, I would ask you to do so on what we actually believe, and not on a Protestant caricature of it.

No, but you can loose it through sin.

No, because the entire record of our sin debt was nailed to the cross. Jesus dealt with it when He died.

Colossians 2:13-14 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Also, Galatians 2 & 3 deal with salvation by faith.

Galatians 3:1-4 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith— just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?

Galatians 3:19-26 Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was put in place through angels by an intermediary. Now an intermediary implies more than one, but God is one.

Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Even Jesus Himself says salvation is by faith.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Well, I'm sure you have Scripture to back this claim up.

But, if not, try using something from:

No, but you can loose it through sin. Catholics, contrary to Protestant allegations, do not believe that we earn our salvation through works.

If you can lose your salvation by sinning, then you keep it by not sinning.

That's keeping it by works.

So you're contradicting yourself. Catholicism teaches salvation by works, gotta be good enough, you can't sin or God's gonna zap you and too bad for you. It time to burn for eternity.

And is NOT being saved. Hell is what we're saved from.

And since God created us as new creatures in Christ through being born again spiritually, and sealed the deal with the Holy Spirit and canceling the record of our sin debt, there is no judgement and our salvation is sure. If there's no sin held to our account, then there's nothing to condemn us for.
