R2nd - you haven't answered MNdude - you have no idea what the cOuncil discussed, do you?
Hint - it wasn't about "setting up the Church" as that had already happened nearly 200 years earlier

The Apostles creed is not found in the Bible R - do you even know what's in the Apostle's creed?
- “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth” (Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” and John 20:17)
- “And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord” (John 3:16: “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” and Acts 2:36: “God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus.”)
- “Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary” (Luke 1:35: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you… therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.” and Matthew 1:18: Mary “was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.”)
- “Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried” (Matt 27:26-50; Mark 15:44-46)
- "He descended into hell" (1 Peter 3:19: Jesus “went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison” (interpreted by some as descending to the dead) and Ephesians 4:9: “He also descended into the lower parts of the earth.”)
- “On the third day He rose again from the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:4: “He was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures.” and Matthew 28:6: “He is not here, for He has risen.” )
- “He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God” (Acts 1:9: “He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight.” and Hebrews 1:3: “He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”)
- “He will come to judge the living and the dead” (Acts 10:42: Jesus “is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.” and Matthew 25:31–32: The Son of Man will judge all nations. )
- “I believe in the Holy Spirit” (John 14:26: “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send.”)
- “The holy catholic Church, the communion of saints” (Matthew 16:18: “I will build my church.” and Hebrews 12:1:)
- "The forgiveness of sins" (Acts 2:38: “Repent and be baptized… for the forgiveness of your sins.”)
- “The resurrection of the body, and life everlasting” (1 Corinthians 15:52: “The dead will be raised imperishable.” and John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life… whoever believes in me shall never die.” )
This creed, referred to as the "Old Roman Creed" is documented by Tertullian in 200 AD as ancient - also by Hippolytus in 215 AD
Creeds are meant to summarize faith for teaching and worship, not to replicate scripture but to distill its core truths. They are liturgical tools, not scripture.
