Donald Trump announced Saturday he would impose a 100% tariff on BRICS nations if they try to replace the dollar in international trade, impacting a group of major developing economies whose members include Russia, India, China and Iran, among others, marking the latest threats by the president-elect to impose tariffs on imports from several countries.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the 100% tariff would affect all BRICS countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates—until they commit to not creating a new BRICS currency or back another currency that could replace the “mighty” dollar.

Russia is already banned from transacting in US dollars or exporting to the USA.

So at this point, they couldn’t care less.

And to China, India, Brazil, etc... they will say: “see, we told you so....”

“Threatens” being the key word. If you aren’t willing to make the threat, it’s hard to negotiate from a position of strength.

What’s not to like about President Trump nuking the BRICS currency right before taking office?

President Trump should put a tariff on offshore service contracts from Indian firms.

President Trump needs to institute a 100% tariff on all enemies of the U.S. economy.

This doesn’t bother me, I am America First! I love tariffs because they allowed 13 isolated colonies on the a*s end of beyond to become an economic and industrial superpower.

You neocons are just a sad little tribe of losers. Trump is dropping a deuce on all of your dreams.

I don't care about the ruble or any of your fantasy pretend crap like "Ukraine is advancing on all fronts" etc.
I care about America and this forum that you spam with propaganda daily.
Say, have you donated to the Freepathon?
You spam the forum enough.

President Trump is sticking Putin with 100% tariff instead of throwing him a victory parade. Classic!

"“Threatens” being the key word. If you aren’t willing to make the threat, it’s hard to negotiate from a position of strength."

Agreed. Let them know in advance what WILL happen if they don't negotiate. However, you have to have the cojones to follow through, as does President Trump. He has already secured an agreement with the Mexico President to keep the illegals in her country, or if not, increased tariffs.

Leaders around the world are already listening and changing political/economical positions, because of his "threats". Example: Canada's commie Trudeau is already kissing his ring, along with others.

The bulk of what American imports from Russia is commodities which can be sold anywhere in the world, totally fungible. The sanctions destroyed trade between Russia and the U.S. so the tariff tactic is moot when it comes to Russia in particular.

Also, the China-Russia gas pipeline was just completed and is set to power Shanghai by end of 2024 - seven months ahead of schedule.... Can America sanction that?

Trump is right. Putin will make the smart move, now that the dollar does not support the degeneracy of the left.
