The Ukes perform Ennio Morricone's classic, from the DVD 'Anarchy in the Ukulele'.
Another upload of exactly this clip received over 2 million views, but was mistakenly deleted in early 2010.
I just listened to the Danish National Symphony Orchestra version all the way through (first time in a while) and it never fails to send shivers down my spine and mists my eyes up, especially when the character of the song changes around 4 minutes.
Good fun. Deserves a look, my fellow FReepers.
Great stuff!
One of the coolest attributes of this theme is how well it can come across when performed by groups both small and large (as the other posts demonstrate.)
I have to believe that if some of the great composers of the past were reincarnated to hear this tune, in various arrangements, they would surely approve. I should suggest it to my daughter’s high school orchestra director (even tho’ daughter-san is in college now.) :-)
Excellent! Thank you!
Brought back a memory of meeting Eli Wallach years ago.
Also took my mind off of WWIII for a couple of minutes.
This song is the intro in the Ramone’s Live in Barcelona.

It’s fantastic! One of my all-time favorite movie themes! They perform it beautifully. What’s really cool is actually watching it being performed.
The soprano Andersen is incredible. Watching her precisely and accurately modulate her mouth is incredible.
I love the image of Clint looking down on the audience and the ethereal image of the hanged man. I can’t believe the production designers said l”Let’s show an image of a hanged man” and they went along with it.
A wonderful post. Thanks.
“the Danish National Symphony Orchestra version “
What an achievement that was back in the 60’s. And there was so much good music done in films back then, it wasn’t appreciated very much at the time.
Nowadays, with the “quality” of music being what it is, that score is looked back on as a masterpiece.
I bet most musical scores for films these days are done by AI.
And then there is this, the theme from Dr. No, by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. What a beginning! And ending!

LOL...I’ll say. Now that was unexpected!
