Yesterday , I was in my friend's car, and he had on the 49ers vs. Packers game. I think it was on Sirius/XM, but it was the 49ers announcers from 107.7 FM, Greg Papa and Tim Ryan.
Tim Ryan used to play for the Bears a long time ago, I'm not sure how he got to be a 49ers announcer.
In the 4th quarter, the Packers' QB threw a pass to their Tight End, Tucker Kraft for 15 yards, to the one yard line.
When Time Ryan talked about it, he called him Tucker Carlson, then quickly corrected himself.
LOL. To certain people this could be grounds for cancellation.
Last year, the Oakland Athletics' announcer was fired because he talked about his wonderful trip to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City.
He kind of garbled the name, and people thought it was too close to a racial slur, and that could only happen if regularly used that slur.
Somehow they didn't fire his brother, who was the announcer across the Bay for the San Francisco Giants. If they can jump to the conclusion the A's announcer is racist, can't they assume his brother is to?
no but let us know if he gets fired for it

Brought to you by the same people that are triggered by the word “niggardly”.
That announcer needed a good lawyer
And the announcer for the Sacramento Kings (an hour NE of Oakland) got fired for the following exchange during the very early days of the mostly peaceful protests:
Other guy: Do you support black lives matter?
Announcer: Sure, I believe that all lives matter.
They are so tolerant here in the bay area.
Not as epic as Jimmy Carter at a DNC convention, introducing “Hubert Horatio Hornblower”.
I did not hear it. I am having trouble finding a good place to hear and/or watch football without paying a fortune. That is funny, though. Hope tne announcer does not get in trouble
I have Tucker Kraft as one of my fantasy football team. He did well. Wish I had played him instead of Christian MacCaffery.
That is sad.
I still remember as a freshman at college I found out some people an only watch a game if they have money on it. I couldn't believe it. My parents and grandparents all liked football.
No way could I put money on it. Too much of the game is based on chance. We are just playing for bragging rights.
I, a 65 year old female, who has still to figure out the down thing, am currently winning in our league against football fanatics, strategists of the game, and persons ALL much younger than I. I only brag to my husband (and you at the moment) because he does not care about sports much.
That is just stupid.
Hey, you have the bragging rights. Do you buy those magazines before the draft to look up the players? How did you get in your league?
A friend of my brother’s started the league (ESPN) by asking who wished to join. He has had leagues for several years. There are only ten of us. (Five from my family alone) Anyone can start a league and I do no think there is a fee.
No, I did not know there were magazines. I researched online for good players, but crashed and burned the first few games until I figured out the games and free agency. There is more strategy to it than I expected.
Have you ever picked up an unknown player, and they turned out to be big?
I also find it funny that some of the “commissioners” are corrupt. I have a friend and he was in a league led by a college classmate. But the guy was not playing fair. And in his new league the commissioner allowed a very uneven trade with the last place team, that benefitted his own team. The others were complaining, but he won’t listen.
Yes. Sort of. I do not think Courtand Sutton is that well known, but he did really well last week. He saved my team from losing.
I do not know if we have a commissioner. The league creator set up rules to start. There would be a big scream if he messed with them.
Adding: Sutton is a veteran player, but no one in the league had used him up to that point.
