Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, a key adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, over the weekend branded the United Kingdom a "tyrannical police state" and endorsed calls for a new election.
"The people of Britain have had enough of a tyrannical police state," Musk posted on X, quoting a post about an online petition calling for another election that has now reached 2 million signatures.
It came a day after the Musk reposted a graph showing U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer's declining approval ratings, adding: "The voice of the people is a great antidote."
Musk has clashed for months with Starmer, who said in August that the country was on the verge of a "civil war" after violent unrest in the U.K.
Asked about the petition during an interview on ITV's "This Morning," Starmer said: "Look, I remind myself that very many people didn't vote Labour at the last election. I'm not surprised that many of them want a re-run. That isn't how our system works.

But it’s true.
I know we’re allies, nato members and our heritage is from there... not like I want to bad mouth them.
I was there just last year and it’s a TOTAL POLICE state with big brother watching you 24/7.
The people living there are “subjects” not citizens.
I would not be able to tolerate that crap.
Captain Obvious is a big part of why we did so well in the elections.
Twitter has had a huge impact the past few elections.
He didn’t buy it to get rich...he already is.
He KNEW he was going to support Trump and throw 10s of millions too.
We need more captian obvious fellows like this :)

How many other influential people have made this same Capt Obvious remark?
The number of people killed by the police in the UK is in the low single digits each year.
In the US it is about a thousand each year.
I know what putin is. He’s ex kgb and likely relishes those days.
But he doesn’t like kids get hormone treatments, leave his border wide open, pay for sex changes for prisoners, understand how important birth rate amont REAL Russians is and wont let lgbtq “reach out” to the kids.
England sounds catastrophic at this point.
And time is running short to right the ship
The idiot Starmer picked a fight with the richest man in the world that can spin electronic word bombs on him worldwide. You don’t pick a fight with an intellect that can hurl skyscrapers into space and land them and who has ringed the world with thousands of satellites creating his own global information highway in space. Furthermore, Musk is an ally of the President of the United States of America, an angry, aggrieved titan of a man who is more than willing to take the runty UK to task. I am going to enjoy the next few humiliating years for the communist Labour Party and its leading bastard.
Bring it Starmer, the U.S. is going to eff you up real good with a heaping helping of boot salad.
The cops are not killing people for practicing Fee Speech, they are throwing them in jail for it and labeling it as a hate crime. However, Muslims can say just about anything they want in the UK and nothing happens. Canada is much the same as in the UK.
the tyrannical police state not gonna like being called a tyrannical police state....
turns out the brits
werent really against fascism
they just didnt want to learn german
” You don’t pick a fight with an intellect that can hurl skyscrapers into space and land them and who has ringed the world with thousands of satellites creating his own global information highway in space.”
I watched in amazement when those skyscrapers were hurled into space and brought down and landed, safely.
A friend and an academy grad watched that impossible reality with me.
This line of thinking, by Elon, makes me wonder what he thinks of the United States being trussed to NATO.
Yes, the most Depraved Fascist Tyrannies prefer to keep their victim population alive, and torture them for decades.
All the better reason to nuke 'em good, they'd finally figure out the reason for the Rebellion.
I agree on all five points.
I suspect there are many influential people that agree with Musk, more privately, less publicly.
Well Played!
We should make it painful for the Tyrannical Police State until they start liking it!
