Rebel News Founder and CEO Ezra Levant was arrested for trying to report on the ongoing pro-Hamas demonstration at the intersection of Bathurst and Sheppard in the predominantly Jewish neighbourhood of North Toronto.
He was arrested while standing on the sidewalk, holding a camera, trying to film an effigy of Hamas terrorist Yahya Sinwar that was erected by the pro-Hamas demonstrators, and speaking with a police officer who was telling Ezra he couldn't film that.
Ezra was not causing a disturbance, but the police officer stated that Ezra’s mere presence was a breach of the peace.
Rebel News filmed the entire interaction.
