Freddie Mercury passed away at the age of 45 at his home in London’s Kensington on the evening of November 24, 1991.
Freddie Mercury’s cause of death was bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS....
In March of this year, I reported that Freddie Mercury’s Kensington home in London was for sale for excess of £30 million. The house was designed in the Neo-Georgian style in 1907 by architect Ernest Marshall for married artists Cecil Rea and Constance Halford...
When he passed away in 1991, Freddie left Garden Lodge to his friend and confidante, Mary Austin. Mary said of the house that “This house has been the most glorious memory box, because it has such love and warmth in every room. It has been a joy to live in and I have many wonderful memories here. Now that it is empty, I’m transported back to the first time we viewed it. Ever since Freddie and I stepped through the fabled green door, it has been a place of peace, a true artist’s house, and now is the time to entrust that sense of peace to the next person.”

Steve Perry of Journey was another. Actually, the entire band. They could fairly closely replicate what they did in the studio live.
Well put.
Freddy Mercury... Ick!
Or that singer in Rush. Just no!
I second it... I drew a line... pillow biters and carpet munchers are on one side, I am on the other. you either accept it or you dont. I dont. Good singer, but the bad human part takes it all away. Period...
It is a big ask to overlook the rampant extreme profligate homosexuality and promotion of same of the man and his career. He made a big deal of it. I mean the name of the band was Queen.
So why expect everyone on the board to gloss over it as if it was inconsequential.
Now Paul Rodgers...that's a voice I liked.

Funny - the Flash Gordon soundtrack was one of the few things they did that I liked - guess because I wasn’t a fan otherwise and it was deliberately over the top and campy. Hilarious lyrics.
If you eliminate performers and musicians based on their personal beliefs and sexuality you’ll eventually find yourself sitting in a darkened room listening to Anita Bryant’s greatest hits.

Not quite man... there are plenty straight performers that I'll support. I listen to it all, but im not gonna sit here and rave about a homo..... never gonna happen.
Queen was Queen, not Mercury. He was great but not without Queen.
For me, Queen was as much Brian May as it was Freddie Mercury.
Getty Lee. I love Rush, mostly for Neal Peart's contribution.
For you and the others “what a fag” is not meant literally as it relates to homosexuality. It’s a joke. See south park.
Time flies.
South Park defined guys who rode loud Harley Davidson motorcycles as fags.
Rump rangers die young
Lasting legacy, use a condom.
