Heat and cold: Gun ownership soars among Republican women, declines among Dem men

Gun ownership among Republican women has soared in the last few years, according to a new survey.

Since 2019, 33% of GOP ladies have been packing heat – up from the 22% who said they owned a firearm in 2013-2018 and 19% who were strapped in 2007-2012...

...

Only 12% of Democratic women have owned guns in the last handful of years – despite lefty Vice President Kamala Harris admitting she owns a firearm.

GOP men are most likely to own guns — with 60% reporting they packed heat in 2024, up from 57% in 2007-2013.

The percentage of Democratic men who own guns has declined significantly in recent years, from 36% in 2007-2012 to only 29% in the 2019-2024.

“...The percentage of Democratic men who own guns has declined..”

They aren’t men in the common meahing of the term. However, If you count criminals, gang members, illegals etc the percentage would be higher.

This was known back in 1968 after Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian Immigrant and Lyndon Johnson began to push for the 1968 gun control law. He got it. Lots of democrats lined up to tote the gun registration mantra. Even Hollywood fell into line with dozens of anti-gun TV shows over the next twenty years.
One problem:
“In 1941, just days before the Pearl Harbor attack, Congress reaffirmed Second Amendment rights and prohibited gun registration. In 1968, bills to register guns were debated, with opponents recalling the Nazi experience and supporters denying that the Nazis ever used registration records to confiscate guns. The bills were defeated, as every such proposal has been ever since, including recent “universal background check” bills.”

So they passed a weakened version in the 1968 Gun Control Law we are saddled with today which has done NOTHING to stop crime.

“Today we begin to disarm the criminal and the careless and the insane. All of our people who are deeply concerned in this country about law and order should hail this day.”-— Lyndon Johnson signing the 1968 gun control act into law.

And Thomas J. Dodd, who wrote the 1968 gun control act using the 1938 Nazi weapons law as a pattern...

“No one can predict how many lives will be spared because of this bill, but, if the bloody record of our yesterdays is any measure, millions of future Americans will live to enjoy the promise of many peaceful tomorrows.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a part in this great moment in our time.”— Thomas J. Dodd on passage of the 1968 Gun control act.

Satisfied? In stead they went to the next step in banning guns, then the next and next....When they thought they had banned A-s-s-sault Rifles they made a grab for single shot .50 Cal rifles. They will never be satisfied till they have all of them banned.

You can’t use, own or possess a firearm if you admit to being a druggie, why do we allow people who not only admit, but gleefully join the Party of Slavery to use, own or possess firearms???

The key word in the teaser is ‘reported’. In other words they asked people, which with such a highly charged subject with political implications, presents a large gray area of statistical sampling issues. Take these ‘conclusions’, as provided by trustworthy NY-Post writers with a big grain of salt.

I think I might have one of them there “A-s-s-sault Rifles”. It’s a .54 caliber black powder flintlock rifle, which on a good day, with my arthritic hands, I can load and fire it twice per minute. I can’t own it in California, thanks to Arnold, because “it might shoot down an airplane”.

I thought black powder firearms were exempt from most regulations. California really doesn’t allow for .54 caliber muzzleloaders?

If gun ownership declines among Democrat “men”, it means they didn’t really believe that guff about it being a Fascist takeover.

“Libs will regret the loss of real men.”

Lib women already do, but will never admit it. They make up for that loss by voting for a communist government that will supposedly give them everything including security.

I’ll tell you what, I love conservative women. They are the epitome of everything good on the right. The embrace their femininity, yet there anything but pushovers, they say what they mean, and generally, they have more cojones than the men. (At least our elected reps) , And they show less fear of the left or desire to accommodate them.

And they are always better looking than the women on the left. By far

Exactly. Consider how Democrat men might be demonized if they admitted to owning a firearm.
