Putin says Russia fired new type of ballistic missile into Ukraine — and threatens to use it against the US

Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged about firing a new kind of ballistic missile at Ukraine early Thursday — while threatening to also use it against other powers arming Kyiv, including the US.

In an unscheduled televised address to the nation, Putin said he sent a hypersonic missile called Oreshnik — Russian for hazelnut tree — to strike a facility in Dnipro in response to Kyiv’s recent use of British and American missiles to attack Russian territory.

-snip-

he threatened to use it against anyone supplying missiles to Ukraine — and warned that US air defenses would be powerless to stop the ordnance, which moves at 10 times the speed of sound.

Would certainly make the point that decentralizing the government agencies like Trump wanted was a good idea.

Would solve an awful lot of problems, too.

If the swamp gets us nuked, we ought to at least get new leaders outta the deal.

We can chose between the couple million surviving Americans in a lottery, while hoping their radiation poisoning isn’t fatal. Or ours also ...

Russia has denied that and says it’s a 9M729 Oreshnik. Claimed top speed of Mach 10.

I saw that but the Oreshnik is a cruise missile and (of course) does not deliver MIRVs, which were clearly visible on two different videos.

The 9M729 "Iskander-M" missile, also referred to by NATO as the SSC-8 "Screwdriver", is a ground-launched cruise missile (GLCM) developed by Russia.

I like that idea. reminds me of the William F Buckley quote about he would prefer to pick names at random out of the phonebook for Congress than choose from Harvard or something along those lines.

The two MIRV videos are the stuff of nightmares.

No, that’s not the Oreshnik, per Russia.

Additionally, the Iskander-M launcher has at least seven different missiles it can fire, plus the cruise missile variant. That we know of. Well, probably eight now.

Is this the plan of your Deep State buddies, Marcus:

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/11/is_the_deep_state_pushing_nuclear_war_to_prevent_a_trump_presidency.html

With these efforts having failed, what’s left is to escalate the weaponry that the U.S. and various NATO partners supply to Ukraine to provoke a nuclear response from Russia. Fearing that Trump would fulfill campaign promises to dismantle the “woke” Deep State, the New World Order military/industrial/intelligence complex prefers to risk nuclear war rather than allow Trump to return to the White House.

Even a limited Russian nuclear response would hamper Trump’s ability to end the war in Ukraine quickly after his inauguration. Should a Russian nuclear response lead to a global thermonuclear war, the World Economic Forum’s depopulation goals would only be achieved much sooner than anticipated.

Problem is you are a true believer of the garbage you peddle here on FR.

Even Worse, you think that Putin & Russia are weak.

It's people like you who FAFO while you jeopardize the entire planet & all of humanity, because you are a useful idiot of other useful idiots that actually wield power that they do not wield intelligently.

Two of your posts, have been proven beyond question that they were utter BS, because you lack critical thinking skills, as do all of the devoted Zeeper cheerleaders.

Is this your and Deep State's objective, Marcus?

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2024/11/how_congress_can_prevent_wwiii.html

Congress need not stand by idly, watching without recourse, as a lame-duck president (whose mental competence must be considered questionable) authorizes Ukraine to fire USA-manufactured missiles into Russia—a policy that has as its only rational purpose to induce Russia to use a tactical nuclear bomb in retaliation. Does anyone think arming Ukraine with ATACMS to lob into Russia will win the war for Ukraine while Russia occupies the essential Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine—Crimea—and controls parts of Donetsk and Luhansk Provinces in eastern Ukraine?

You panic as if your Putin is incapable of any semblance of discipline or self control between now and President Trump’s inauguration. Mongols gonna Mong, I guess.

"The RS-26 “Rubezh” (with MIRVs) is what’s being reported."

Thank you. When I watched two different clips, I counted about 5 strikes. It had to be MIRVs.

“We can chose between the couple million surviving Americans in a lottery,”

Go to a busy mall and randomly pick any two people that happen to be US citizens. It’s practically guaranteed they’d be better than Biden/Harris.
