A signal that ‘our ICBMs still work’? (without the nukes)
At least the missiles work. The Russians used to have liquid fueled ICBM’s. It’s too dangerous to keep them fueled all the time. The mobile ones cannot be erected (pointed skyward) when fueled. Fueling takes time.
We know from monitoring Russian ballistic missile tests that their submarine launched and land based missiles work very well. Clean separation, landing in their intended test ranges. Some question the reliability of their nuclear rounds.
What I find surprising is that even have conventional warheads for ICBMs. The U.S. only has nuclear warheads for ICBMs, and the same is true for France and Britain.
