They welded the cover to the metal ring that surrounds it, the suction was enough to suck the whole ring, AND cover out of the ground.

Saw pictures, they’ve covered them in concrete for this year’s race.
Yes, was also a night race last year as well. (The theory was to make sure it wasn’t still 100 degrees, and that it wouldn’t impact the casinos, and traffic as much at night).
(Lived in Vegas in the early aughts and saw it still be 100F at 10PM one night).
The front wing sucked it out of the ground, and it hit on the main tub. Where the “barge boards” used to be on the non-ground effect cars. And YES, a big chunk of steel whacking the car. I bet it was a jolt.
I believe it costs a small fortune to see this race from the better vantages.
One strat is to pay the big $$$s to see the race then to make it up playing blackjack.
(Yes, I'm kidding.)

Yuki got hung up with US Customs for “several” hours but the so-called “reporter” who wrote the story was so eager to sensationalize the event he couldn’t be bothered to investigate and find out what POE he used, much less what triggered the incident.
Tsunoda claims his Visa was in order because he already had used it at Austin and Myjammy. And according to his version of events, he “almost” didn’t get let into the country.

It might be very interesting to know where Yuki attempted to enter the country. It doesn’t take much work at all to confirm just who is and isn’t an F1 driver. Two discussions over hours of time would tend to convince anyone to avoid said location and complain vociferously to proper authority to rectify such errors pajamas or tuxedo.
And in the meantime there’s terrorscum being tossed on a Welcome trampoline so they can bounce anywhere they want to go and receiving $5000.00 credit cards, vehicles, housing, identification/drivers license and lord knows what else... < /total disgust >
