Republicans recently spent millions on ads targeting transgender people who account for about 1% of the population -- for no other reason than to inflate paranoia and deflect from real issues they were not addressing.
Trans individuals have been using bathrooms of the gender they identify with all along. No issues have been reported because these individuals enter the stalls, close and lock the doors, and when they’re done, they wash their hands and leave.

Can you imagine what would happen if a woman who has transitioned to a male identity, dressed as a male, has to go into a women’s restroom because of such a law? Or a man who had transitioned to female had to use a male restroom? I would say chaos would occur. Now, a similar proposal is being made on Capitol Hill by U.S. Rep. There are two restroom cases:
1. fake men using men’s restrooms
2. fake women using women’s restrooms
As for 1, the fake man would probably use a sit-down stall. If using the urinal, if no man is near, no problem. If a man is near, the real man generally will not care if the fake man (modified women) urinates into an adjacent urinal.
As for 2, the applicable case in case of the Delaware Congressperson, women’s restrooms only use sit-down stalls.
The real problems of gender privacy arise in changing rooms, locker rooms and showers, not bathrooms.
Q: What did the trans man say when he went to the men’s room?
A: “This must be where all the d1cks hang out.”
With respect, your analysis is naive, I feel. These demented people WANT to cause trouble. There are plenty of ways to cause trouble in a bathroom.
Don’t know, Rosie O’donnell has been using women’s bathrooms for years without riots breaking out.

Why must we change eons of social norms to accommodate the mentally ill? Stupid
“1% of the population” — BS #1. No more than 0.001%
“for no other reason than to inflate paranoia” — BS #2. Substantive reasons include stealing women’s championships, stealing women’s athletic scholarships, beating women to bloody pulps on the athletic fields, making women and girls very uncomfortable in restrooms and showers, make ALL of us uncomfortable with them ramming their perversions down our throats and trying to mainstream their perversions so we are forced to celebrate them. I’m sure I missed another two dozen good reasons.
Author flunked both biology and Bible class. We are all born male or female. Period. Pretending to be the opposite of how we were born, how God created us, is just pretend, regardless of feelings or law or culture. Those who pretend are mentally ill, and we should not accept their mental aberrations as the norm.
Is that the best argument? Not that many women are offended? Not that many women are raped by illegals? Not that many children are sold into slavery? Yikes.
People can have their delusions - delusions that they're GOD or that they're Women - or whatever. But they have NO RIGHT to force the rest of us to believing their delusion about 'being GOD' or 'being women' or whatever.
Sorry, makeup and surgery doesn't make a man a woman anymore than it makes a man a dog, or a person into God. We're NOT saying they can't believe their delusions, we're saying they have NO RIGHT TO FORCE us into believing their delusions.
(Oh, and I'm master of the Universe and all must bow to me... right? I can believe it but I don't have the right to force others to believe it. (just kidding I'm really God) just kidding ...))
