Trump promises 'no retribution' when he enters the White House... but does reveal where he draws the line

Donald Trump promised he's 'not looking for retribution' when he enters the White House in January despite vowing to throw his enemies in jail on the campaign trail.

Despite the assurance, however, Trump pointed out he 'obviously' has the 'upper hand' and declared that he would draw the line after a certain amount of betrayal.

'I am not looking for retribution, grandstanding or to destroy people who treated me very unfairly, or even badly beyond comprehension,' he told Fox News Digital.

'I am always looking to give a second and even third chance, but never willing to give a fourth chance — that is where I hold the line.'

He didn't get more specific but did add he 'obviously' has 'the upper hand at this moment.'

Many of Trump's critics are worried they'll be subject to retribution after he takes the oath of office. Trump, during his presidential campaign, was vocal when it came to what he thought of those he considered 'enemies.'

Some of them include Republicans who were vocal in supporting Kamala Harris. Others are career government officials who angered the former president.

Olivia Troye, a former Trump administration official who denounced him in a speech at the Democratic convention in August, is one of them.

'I'm worried that I'll be targeted by him and a lot of people in his circle,' she told NBC News. 'They very much know who I am. And I'm concerned for my family.'

She's not the only person at risk.

Trump's transition team is putting together a list of senior current and former military officers who were directly involved in the withdrawal from Afghanistan and exploring whether they could be court-martialed for their actions, NBC News reported.

“Not retribution. Not revenge.

Bingo... A lesson needs to be learned.

If they did nothing wrong, they have nothing to worry about.

We’re not the party of law fare but can we count on the public opinion to protect us?
I say stick it to a few high profile people.

I was afraid Trump would go soft. Democrats need a dose of their own medicine or they will lawfare worse next time they get power. At least he should persecute the Biden and pecker puss Pelosi crime families to make an example of them.

Last time, “Lock her up!” turned into “I didn’t mean it.”

I think it would be a huge mistake if that happened again.
We need Justice.

'I am always looking to give a second and even third chance, but never willing to give a fourth chance — that is where I hold the line.'

Two impeachments, election interference TWICE, and lawfare.

That's more than four chances by any measure.

JUSTICE is due to you AND your fellow Americans.

Didn't she target him? She's concerned for her family? Trump got shot!

She's low hanging fruit, no one cares about her. She just wants some attention, so now she's grand-standing.

Absolutely.

The law must be upheld: The principles and rules of the legal system must be respected, enforced, and maintained. This ensures the integrity of the legal framework.

And

Justice must be served: Fairness must prevail and appropriate actions must be taken, such as punishment for wrongdoing or restoration of rights.

The Jan 6th prisoners have been locked up for almost four years. Just let that slide?

The whole Jan 6th committee deserves justice for their criminal fraud and conspiracy. The DOJ deserves justice for their fraud and conspiracy. It is cruel and unusual punishment that cannot be forgiven. They destroyed these people’s lives forever.

He should most definitely NOT persecute. That's the nature of lawfare.

If Trump is to restore the system, he must let the system work honestly. No lawfare, no persecution...but people who committed crimes should be held accountable.

Olivia is a horrible person and she hasn’t changed. Why would she be worried about Trump coming after an obscure person like her if she hadn’t done anything wrong?

Justice! Bump

Disagreeing with Trump is NOT THE ISSUE.

Those who Lied about President Trump for money? They are many.

Those who committed treason for political gain? Must be charged, tried, sentenced and punished accordingly.

It is Time to #Restore_the_Constitution.

It is Time to #DownSize_DC!

If there is no justice, no truth telling then these horrible people will keep doing what they have been doing.

Don’t forget, at least 2 if the Jan 6 Political Prisoners committed suicide.

That cannot be undone.

Nor is ruining their lives.

“despite vowing to throw his enemies in jail “

Is it a coincidence that “his enemies” also are criminals, worthy of jail? (Plus, he never said he’d throw his enemies in jail ... so there’s that.)

I think Melania won a lawsuit against Daily Mail; PDJT should give it a shot.

“I was afraid Trump would go soft.”

He did the first time around. Has he learned his lesson?

I’m disgusted that he met with Mika and Joe. What’s up with THAT?
