In an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show in April of 2013, then U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was asked whether he would leave the administration of President Barack Obama after being held in contempt by the Republican led Congress. He famously replied that he would stay because “I’m still enjoying what I’m doing…I’m still the President’s wingman.”
Holder stayed in the position of Attorney General for another two years, filling the role of “wingman,” defined as someone who “helps, protects, or guides a friend or associate.”
Not surprisingly, Republicans were unable to punish Holder or Obama for any wrongdoing committed during that administration.

Yes. On cue Democrats will claim that the Attorney General is independent of the president. They started that meme during Watergate. Of course Holder and Merrick Garlic’s partisan conduct is different. Trump rightly said that there are many enemies from within and Gaetz better go get them.
Attorney General is the MOST important position in the US Gov’t - because the DOJ is most similar to the Soviet KGB - it enforces political uniformity on Govt through investigation, prosecution and lawfare.

Kennedy appointed his own brother. Reagan had his old friend Ed Meese. Clinton had the leftist bulldog Janet Reno, and Obama had fellow travelers Holder and Lynch (who he also made sure were black, for added loyalty)
Trump didn’t realize the importance of this position, and had the traitorous Sessions foisted on him by McConnell.

Absolutely nothing is stopping Congress from re-opening the hearings on Fast and Furious. When Holder refuses to answer questions cite him for contempt again and turn Gaetz loose on him.
Give him the Bannon treatment.

He learned that valuable lesson when he appointed Sessions.
I believe Sessions was foisted upon Trump by McConnell, who warned Trump that only Sessions could get nominated. Sessions seemed reasonable because he seemed to support "MAGA," but as traitorous scum, recused himself on all things Russia, allowing the 3 year "Russia-gate" scam to proceed.
