While everyone is excited by President-elect Trump that he would like to see a national concealed carry reciprocity bill passed, let us remember that this is not how we make laws, rather it is Congress' job.
Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the good news as there is already a piece of legislation, sponsored by Thomas Massie, which would do exactly that.
And now that the GOP is in control why not get this bill passed into law?

My thought is we live as the 2nd amendment is written. No permits required. Stop the crap.

Trump CANNOT PASS A BILL, SO TRUMP IS EXACTLY RIGHT AND THIS GUY IS REPEATING TRUMP AND SAYING TRUMP IS WRONG.

Agreed. The guy is a great 2A advocate, but is acting as if Trump was going to issue a seal to impose this on the states.

Is there not, within that statement, an implication that the arms I keep and bear can be of equal utility as those arms that can be “beared” against me?
If my enemies, foreign and domestic, have war-level weapons (automatic, large bore, exploding load, etc.), aren’t I allowed these same weapons?

Yep - “reciprocity” shouldn’t even be part of it - being an American on American soil should give one the right to carry concealed/unconcealed period.

You have a good point. The entire Bill of Rights should apply only to genuine US citizens and foreigners here legally.
And actually, the last time I bought a gun, the questionnaire I filled out did say something about being here legally, or being a US citizen.
But legal or not does not matter to the democrats in charge. If they want their illegals armed, they will be armed.

In GA we have state level preemption i.e. No local government as allowed to pass gun control laws - it all must be state level. Why not National preemption where no state is allowed to have gun control laws and it is all at the national level?
