Frank Sinatra is an icon. He left such a massive imprint on the world of music and movies that there's no doubt life would be very different had he never gone into the entertainment business. Sinatra also had a major impact on many restaurants and food companies, essentially catapulting them into the spotlight merely by eating at an establishment or carrying a drink onstage with him.

Yeah, but I've been to Sally's and Modern, and Modern is ridiculously overrated.
Pepe's is the overrated one. Modern isn't Sally's, but Sally's has limited hours and space. Also, Sally's doesn't need much in the way of toppings, while Modern benefits, and the quality of the toppings is excellent. When the move strikes, THE "Modern" apizza (American Cheese instead of Mozzerella) is a fun change of pace that no one else has (people not from the northeast or certain cities: American Cheese from a proper Italian deli or restaurant is NOT that Pasteurized Processed Cheese Food stuff pushed by Kraft and company.)

My favorite dessert: A bowl of good ice cream with half a warm pop tart stuck in it.
That sounds very good. In high school, I used to have a local luncheonette make me "Hostess a la mode". Warmed up Hostess blueberry fruit pie with a scoop of ice cream on top.

Modern takes this “burn the bottom” stuff too far. I agree Pepe’s is more overrated than Modern. Let’s grab a slice some time.

The burn the bottom thing works best with a coal oven that hasn’t been turned off in 85 years.
I am ALWAYS up for a slice of New Haven apizza!
I am rarely in Connecticut these days.
