The 2024 version of President Trump is leaner, meaner, and far more politically savvy than the 2016 version. After going through hell and learning his lessons the hard way, he’s back with a finely-tuned vengeance the Swamp has never seen. The battle has already begun, as President Trump gears up to fill his administration with his picks. Some of these appointees are causing quite a stir, and D.C. is seriously shook—they’re ready to block him at every turn. Sadly, the bad guys recently scored a win when RINO John Thune was elected Senate Majority Leader in a secret vote—a direct slap in the face to the American people.

One former Bush lackey is sweating bullets, terrified that President Trump, who has a MANDATE from the American people, might actually bypass globalist disrupters like him in Congress and push his nominees through. Imagine that—treating politics like a strategic game, with chess moves and clever maneuvers to outsmart your opponents…
Ed Whelan:
Hope it’s wrong, but I’m hearing through the grapevine about this bonkers plan: Trump would adjourn both Houses of Congress under Article II, section 3, and then recess-appoint his Cabinet.
As predicate for Trump’s exercise of adjournment power, one House of Congress would seek other House’s consent to adjourn and be denied. So Speaker of House would need to be complicit in evisceration of Senate’s advice-and-consent role.

However, wasn't there talk about Vance as president of the Senate?
He can do what Obama did and just great Czars...

When in need Trump needs to tell his Posse to burn the phones up and melt the Senate switchboard. Doxing the dolt thune would not bother me at all. The guy is a sanctimonious loser. The Senate are way too full of themselves.
DJT’s not going to win them all, but he’s not making friends this time. He’s making allies.
Trump needs to call Thune and say, “Because I said so”, and hang up.
Thune had better deliver, that’s the ultimatum, or else he will have hell to pay. All can now see how strategic Scott entering the contest was. It forced the almost certain McConnell RINOs - Thune and Cronyn - to capitulate to Trump on recess appointments. They now have Thune just where they want him.
Clinton, Obama, and Trump each had 3 "withdrawn" (meaning that they were never going to get an approval vote, so they avoided the "loss").
Sadly the Obamas will continue to live in D.C.
There’s a new Sheriff in town, and he’s got the biggest, strongest, possee in the world!!
How can we the people trust a secret vote by our congress critters.
Let us vote again in the sunshine after January 20, 2025.
The senate’s roll in these appointments is a constitutional requirement.

Thune the prune got up before God and the nation and said he would do what it took to get President Trump’s nominees through as well as his agenda (we’ll see). If he doesn’t keep his word, I hope they kick him out and get JD Vance in there.
“Senator John Cornyn has run to the press to complain about the @MattGaetz AG nomination.
The senator wants to reopen the ethics probe. Again.
Cornyn didn’t even wait until the smoke cleared from the Senate Majority Leader vote to stab Trump in the back.

Haha, this idea has Never Trumpers freaking out. This article from National Review calls the potential move “Bonkers” and an “outrageous attack on the Senate”:
Well screw them! It’s Constitutional and just because no President has ever exercised that power does not make it “bonkers” or an assault on the Senate.
vance...he’s vp...not a senator
The posse is called We The People.
President Trump can play hardball too. No more mister nice guy.
