WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency can meet immediate needs but does not have enough funding to make it through the hurricane season, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters Wednesday.
The agency is being stretched as it works with states to assess damage from Hurricane Helene and delivers meals, water, generators and other critical supplies. The storm struck Florida last week, then plowed through several states in the Southeast, flooding towns and killing more than 160 people

This is nonsense. Washington burns money so fast. Congress can allocate more cash, but it also needs to order a complete rectal exam of an audit and rewrite the law for what FEMA money can and cannot be used for.
And get rid of the preferred vendors list. FEMA should have stockpiles of necessities in multiple parts of the county ready to be flown in as soon as the danger has passed but in case they are missing something buy from whomever has it nearby and ready to deliver.
What about all the money they saved on Trump supporters?
And charge him as an accomplice of all crimes including the murders committed by those he let in. Try him in a death penalty state, preferably one that can use a firing squad. Make an unquestioned example of him.
